Must-Eat Restaurants at Walt Disney World
As you begin planning your Disney World trip, if you’re like me, you want to ensure each experience is unique and fun – this includes eating. With small children, however, I found this a bit more challenging. After all, I had to make sure there was something on the menu for everyone.
Lucky for you, during my research and many years of experience going to Disney, I have found a few restaurants that you must try – especially if you have young kids.
Disney Sci-Fi Dine in Theater
Located in Hollywood Studios, this is a restaurant that is overflowing with fun. Walking inside you are instantly taken back in time to the 1950s. Here you can experience traditional diner food in a restaurant that is set up to look like a drive in movie theater.
Disney Princess Storybook Dining
In Epcot, you will find the Akershus restaurant. This is home to the extremely popular Disney Princess Storybook Dining. If you want to provide your kids with the best opportunity to talk to and meet the Disney Princesses, then this is a great dining experience to choose. While there is no guarantee on what character is going to appear, all the princesses show up here at some point. You can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner here.
Disney’s Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Villa Resort
There are not too many restaurants where you can dine and look out the window to watch various wildlife passing by. When you dine here; however, you can enjoy the view from a huge picture window that overlooks the savannah. It is best to go at lunch since this seems to be when the animals are most active.
Disney Chef Mickey’s
Get to meet and talk to Mickey and Minnie up-close when you book a meal at Chef Mickey’s. This is located at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and just a few minutes from the Magic Kingdom. You can eat breakfast, brunch, and dinner here but, it is one of the most difficult dining experiences to get a reservation for.
If you have a trip to Disney planned in the near future, consider some of my top picks when it comes to eating experiences. If you have young children, they are going to love the experience that each of these offers.

I’m not sure that there’s a bad restaurant in WDW. We’ve eaten at a good number of the years, favorites include anything at the Polynesian and the character breakfast with Pooh in the Magic Kingdom.

It’s nice that there are themed dining places in Disney, which can keep you entertained during meal time. It’s a lot better than just grabbing a bite then rushing to the next attraction.
There’s so many great restaurants at Disney that it is definitely hard to choose. I like something like this that will help me focus on certain restaurants. That way I’m not trying to figure out what I want to eat and what is good.
We have eaten at most of these places and they were great. Always book ahead of time so you can get in.

I have eaten at Disney so many times, but have only tried 1 of these! I’m a fan of Liberty Tree Tavern.
Disney is indeed the happiest place in the world, and all that activity is sure to end up with hungry kids and adults alike. This is nice list of eateries. Personally I would like the Sc-Fi theatre eating experience the most.
