Reese Witherspoon Says Even Her Family Can’t Tell Her And Her Daughter Ava Apart
It’s without a doubt that Reese Witherspoon’s daughter Ava is definitely the actress’ doppelgänger. The mother and daughter duo look so much alike that a lot of her fans can’t tell the two ladies apart. And apparently, Reese’ family can’t tell the difference either. In fact, the Hollywood actress recently admitted that her 4-year-old son Tennessee even gets them confused!
Reese told Southern Living Magazine that one of the reasons why little Tennessee sometimes confuses his mother and his sister is because 17-year-old Ava helped raise him. Reese shares Ava and her brother Deacon with her ex-husband Ryan Philippe while Tennessee is her son with her current husband, Jim Toth.
For fans, this doesn’t come as a surprise at all. After all, Ava shares the same blonde hair, blue eyes and even smile as her famous mom!
Reese explained, “The kids all have funny and unique relationships with each other. Ava is like another parent to Tennessee, like his other mother. I think sometimes he even gets confused — he told Ava ‘Happy Mother’s Day!'”
Reese also admits that she had a second mom that was very close to her while she was growing up too – her paternal grandmother, Dorothea Draper. That’s why she’s so thankful for Ava and her duel role as a big sister and second mother to her brothers at home.
She said, “She taught me just about everything. My grandmother taught me how to cook and how to read. She would read all the different voices of each character in each book. I think she kinda taught me how to be an actress. And then she’d take me to downtown Nashville for shopping trips all the time. She loved buying shoes. She didn’t own a pair of pants and wore pearls every single day.”
