Unplug & Make Family Memories This Summer at Carefree RV Resorts
I started camping when I was a little girl. My dad is a man’s man and loves everything to do with the outdoors. He is an expert fisher and seeks out the best lakes to enjoy his favourite pastime. Needless to say, at times he had a hard time finding ways to connect with his princess loving daughter. Camping was a great way for us to do some father-daughter bonding. One of my fondest memories is my dad teaching me to fish with my little pink rod while I excitedly tried to catch little sunny fish. Little did I know at the time how special this time together was to my dad. A time where it was just him and his little girl!
More than ever camping is a great way for families to bond with one another and build lasting memories. With the distractions of smartphones, tablets and other technology devices it can be hard for families to connect. Camping allows families to disconnect from the everyday world and just spend time together doing activities outdoors. That’s why I still go camping to this day. My husband and I both have jobs that keep us connected to the internet at all hours of the day, so it’s nice to just sit outside listening to the cool breezes floating by and the crackling of the campfire.
My 3-year-old daughter, Ava, also loves nature vacations. The first time we took her camping was when she had just turned 2-year-old. I have so many incredible memories from that vacation! At the time, her favorite animal was a duck, so she had a ball seeing mama ducks with their babies. We feed them a lot and soon realized that was a mistake! We had ducks coming every couple of hours to feed and ducks that stick around like to poop! It’s a funny memory to laugh about now, but we definitely learned our lesson!

Ava is so beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing this happy post and beautiful photos ^_^
Sounds like an awesome summer vacation. My kids would love that.
I’m definitely trying to do this sometime soon. It would be fun to bring the whole family along.
I’d love to do this with the family. There’s no better way to have a great time and really reconnect than by getting away from it all.
These are some beautiful resorts for RV’s – and you look like you’re have a fabulous time – I’ll keep your list to share with my parents – we usually go backpacking or camping/hiking to such wonderful places – a bit rougher, I know 🙂
That looks like a fun place for people who like camping. The amenities they offer are great!
These sound like amazing places to stay. Very relaxing, I wouldn’t want to leave!
We LOVE our RV and finding new places to RV. We’ve not yet traveled out of Texas with our RV but maybe one day we will head North.
We took a cross country RV trip when I was a teen. It was a vacation we all remember! We still share stories from it, years later!
I haven’t gone camping since I was maybe 13, and I’ve never taken the kids. Someday I will have to suck it up and take them all, but maybe not until my toddler is older. I’d love an RV to take the kids out with though!
My daughter and her family love to go RVing. One of these days the entire family is going RVing. It should be a blast.
My neighbors vacation in their RV a lot. It really makes me want to take an RV vacation with the family.
I love relaxing vacations. This would be great!
We have not experienced camping out with the family and we are short of nature vacations as well as we’re too busy with work and other matters. You are so fortunate to have those incredbile memories.
I could not unplug completely but I would love to do this with my family. RVing is so much fun.
I would love to get away somewhere to unplug! Those RV resorts look like a nice place to do that!
I would love to do this soon. Unplug, leave the electronics at home, and go somewhere to enjoy nature and all that it does that is wonderful.
I really need to unplug and just get away from everything with my family. This place looks so peaceful and the perfect place to relax and enjoy time with my family.
Our family memories are made in Italy every summer…we go every year because my husband is from there!
We are an outdoor family so we do a lot of unplugging during summer time as we always out exploring.
This is my kind of vacation. We haven’t camped in ages, and my kids haven’t ever. It would he such a blast! Especially to unplug for a few days!
I love camping.. my Hubs not so much. I bet he would change his mind with a camping trip like this.
This sounds perfect for me. I’m in desperate need of a family holiday. I feel like I work too much and I’m missing out.
I’ve been hearing a lot about RV Resorts. I definitely want to visit one with the boychld.
Oh, you don’t know how much I’d like for my family to unplug. Maybe a camping trip is what we need!
One of my friends loves to go RV camp site. I did once before and it is so much fun. I wish we can do this on summer.
I would love to rent a cottage this summer for the family. I love to be outdoors but i hate the bugs.
yes unplug! It’s so important to just spend time with the family without some phone or computer, something in your hand to distract you
I cannot wait for summer to have a splash in the water. This is a great discount
I have always wanted to go RVing with the family. We used to go camping but that is getting harder on us. Would love to do the RV thing though.
Unplugging really is so hard to do. It’s so important to do though. Family time is always more important, and I know we made so many memories camping as a family…especially when I was a kid.
Unplug and make memories, I love the sound of that! I miss camping, I wanted so much to camp with my little family but it’s not my husband’s thing. 🙁
This looks like an amazing family vacation! Reminds me of going camping with my family when I was little!!
I have been hearing a lot about Carefree. These sound like really lovely places to stay on vacation.
What a great resort to relax and enjoy some downtime with family. They really have activities for families.

I’ve said it a dozen times, but we really need to try a Canadian vacation. This could work!
This looks absolutely beautiful and serene. I could really use a relaxing vacation right now.
Making memories with the family is such a treasured experience 🙂
