Jenna Dewan-Tatum: Everly Is a Go-Against-The-Grain Kind of Girl
Jenna Dewan-Tatum and Channing Tatum‘s 21-month-old daughter Everly can’t stop blabbing and they couldn’t be happier.
“She’s talking a lot more,” the actress told while attending the Old Navy, On The Road event at Fig & Olive in Los Angeles on Saturday (March 14). “Her new favorite thing is to tell me, ‘Mommy, I want down,’ but it’s never an appropriate time. We’ll be walking down the street and I’m like, ‘No Everly, you can’t [sit] down here.’ ”
Dewan-Tatum added that the little girl has already developed a strong personality.
“She’s a go-against-the-grain kind of girl, which I love,” she told. “I just want her to be a confident, happy, passionate girl who feels comfortable in her skin and is able to pursue her dreams.”
“I make the most of any time I can spend with her,” she said. “I mean, 24 hours a day and I’m like, ‘Oh, I’ve been playing games with her all day long!’ ”
Everly is also following in her parents footsteps when it comes to dancing.
“[And every night] from 7.30 p.m. to 8.00 p.m., we have parties after dinner. She’s obsessed with Sia‘s “Chandelier” and [Taylor Swift‘s] “Shake It Off”. She knows the dances, She’s learned off the videos,” the actress gushed.
Dewan-Tatum met Tatum on the set of their film Step Up and married in 2009.
Their daughter was born in May 2013 in London, England.
