Purell sanitizers have become a necessity in my family. My 7 year old niece is a soft-spoken kid who faces a ton of daily challenges. One of those challenges stems from a severe dye allergy. Contact with red, blue, orange and yellow dyes can send her into anaphylaxis. It started with food additives. Ingesting the coloring sent her to the hospital several times.
It then grew into skin contact issues. Crayons, markers and paint were easy to avoid, but no one ever thought about soap. My niece cannot wash her hands with many of the soaps offered in public areas due to the dyes. Unable to cleanse her hands, Purell comes to the rescue to keep her healthy and kill bacteria. Each of my family members carries a travel-sized bottle in our purses, cars and, at school, she has a bottle hanging from a lanyard she wears around her neck.
Some amazing facts you should consider when it comes to keeping you and your family healthy…
- According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and other leading health organizations, proper hand hygiene is one of the most important preventative measures you can take to reduce your risk of illness and infection.
- When soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains as least 60% alcohol.
- If hands are visibly dirty, it’s always best to clean them with soap and water, but new Purell Advanced Sanitizing Wipes can now help remove dirt and eliminate germs.
- A recent study conducted by the makers of Purell demonstrated that the use of an alcohol-based hand sanitizer can significantly reduce the transfer of a virus to the hands, and prevent germ transfer via commonly touched surfaces within the household.
- In a study conducted by the makers of Purell, absenteeism caused by illness was 51 percent lower in classrooms that used Purell Hand Sanitizer regularly and implemented a hand hygiene educational program versus classrooms that did not.

I love the small Purell bottles. I hang them on my daughter’s school backpack and lunchbag. They come in very handy on trips as well.
What a generous giveaway. I love Purell. I also loved to see it featured in the movie Nim’s Island… It was brilliant!
We go through tons of sanitizer in our house. With 2 little boys who are always getting into god knows what, it’s necessary.
I buy the tiny bottles and use them for stocking stuffers at Christmas. My daughter is a nurse and my sister works in a nursing home so they really appreciate them.
Must be really scary to have a child that is allergic to certain hand washs. I have handwashes all over the place in my house and plenty spare in the bathroom cupboard
We are big hand washers in our home. We only use Hand sanitizer when we are away from home.
We are obsessed with hand sanitizers. Purell is such a great brand too.
It sounds like a fun challenge, I will have to check it out. We love their hand sanitizer for all of our on the go trips.
Looks like a fun clean challenge! And it is quite sad how many people in the US are ignorant of hygiene habits.
Those little bottles from Purrell are awesome they go everywhere. I am big n hand sanitizer.
I swear I have about 20 bottle floating around our house! I always have one strapped to the diaper bag!
We keep their sanitizer around and donate bottles to the kids’ schools too. It’s nice to take them on the go too, when you know you might need to clean up but soap and water aren’t going to be around.
I have hand sanitizer everywhere! Thanks for sharing this promotion!
Keep hands sanitized and clean is so important to keeping germs down. W always walk with a mini Purell bottle in our bags for on the go hand cleaning.
