Peach Cobbler Recipe

Peach Cobbler Recipe

I love Spring! Warmer weather, sunny skies, and seasonal fruits! One of the best parts of Spring are the peaches. They begin to ripen on our tree and that means peach cobbler time! Last year, we had so many peaches I sliced then froze them and made peach cobbler all year long!

Hope you enjoy this super yummy and simple recipe! It’s a great base for apple cobblers too!

Ingredients

½ cup unsalted butter

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 cup sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

Pinch of salt

Pinch of cinnamon

1 cup milk

1 tablespoon of lemon juice

4 cups fresh peaches (sliced)

Directions

Set oven to 375 degrees. While the oven is preheating, melt the ½ cup unsalted butter by putting the baking dish in the oven. You can either use a 9×13 baking dish or a 12 inch round – I like using the glass Pyrex. After the butter has melted, take the pan/dish out.

In a bowl, combine dry ingredients: flour, 1 cup of sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Slowly stir in the milk then pour batter over butter. Do not stir.

In another bowl, mix the remaining cup of sugar, peach slices and lemon juice. I like to add a dash of cinnamon and vanilla too. Pour mixture over the batter. Do not stir.

Bake for 30 – 35 minutes or until golden brown.

I didn’t add this as part of the ingredients but it goes great topped with vanilla bean ice cream! Enjoy!
