Claire Danes & Baby Bump Win Big At The 2012 Emmy Awards

Claire Danes at The 64th Primetime Emmy Awards held at The Nokia Theatre L.A.Live in Los Angeles, California on September 23rd, 2012.

Claire Danes had a lot to celebrate last night at the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards.

The pregnant actress was awarded an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama in the hit show Homeland.  In her speech, Danes gave a “holla” to costars Damien Lewis, Mandy Patinkin and ended with a heartfelt thank you to her husband Hugh Dancy.

“My husband, my love, my life, my baby daddy: This doesn’t mean anything without you,” Danes gushes as she clutched her award. “I love you so much and I’m so grateful. Thank you.”

Danes looked stunning in a bright yellow Lanvin gown as she walked the red carpet at The Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. She stopped to chat with Ryan Seacrest who asked if if it was difficult to continue shooting while expecting.

“It’s been actually fine. I’ve been really, really lucky to have a very gentle pregnancy, so it’s not run too much interference—knock on wood,” she said.

The show is rigorous, aside from the pregnancy. It’s intense by it’s nature, but I love that about it. I couldn’t be happier with this material and working with this group of people who are just so brilliant and lovely,” she added.

The second second season of Homeland premieres October 2.
