Get Ready For the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration
Can you believe Disneyland is celebrating 60 years of magic?
The Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration kicks off a 24hour party on May 22, 2015. Guests in attendance will enjoy dazzling entertainment and sparkling surprises, including 3 new nighttime spectaculars making their in-park debuts.
Disney Paint the Night Parade – This electrifying spectacle of beloved Disney Characters is a modern version of the popular Main Street Electrical Parade. Heading down Main Street, U.S.A., at 8:50 p.m, watch Mickey Mouse and his friend Tinker Bell’s enchanted pixie dust paint the night with dazzling Disney dreams, complete with a colorful palette of more than one million glowing lights!
Disneyland Forever – At 9:30 pm a fireworks show will play out over Sleeping Beauty Castle, while movies and other animated scenes are projected onto buildings along Main Street, U.S.A, Matterhorn mountain, Rivers of America and “it’s a small world”.
World of Color – Celebrate! – At 9pm and 10:15 p.m guests can take in this 28-minute nighttime spectacular show, which is narrated by Neil Patrick Harris and a newly animated Mickey Mouse at Disney California Adventure. Film clips will be projected on an immense water screen in Paradise Bay while guests enjoy fire, fountain, fog and laser effects.
Throughout the celebration, Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park and Carthay Circle Theatre at Disney California Adventure Park will magically transform with special Diamond Celebration enhancements. Buena Vista Street and Main Street, U.S.A will also be decked out for the occasion with shimmering banners and glittering décor.
The newly refurbished Matterhorn Bobsleds with enhanced Yeti animatronic will also reopen on the big day. Although, the return of Peter Pan’s Flight, which also will features newly enhanced effects is set for July 1st.

Wow–60 years–I will be 65 this year and remember the Mouseketeers. I loved them. I won’t be able to attend this spectacular but it will be in my heart and Disney will always be in my soul.
