Dance Moms Recap For February 11th, 2014: Season 4 Episode 7 “Big Trouble in the Big Apple”
Tonight on Lifetime Abby Miller returns with a new episode of Dance Moms called, “Big Trouble in the Big Apple.” On last week’s episode the moms are shocked when Abby brought a new dancer named Chloe in for a trial run on the competition team. Christi’s concerned Abby would replace her daughter as the two Chloes went head-to-head.
While Holly and Jill were excited about their daughters’ duet, Abby’s was more excited about rehearsing the new Chloe. And for the first time, Melissa felt her girls were being overshadowed. On tonight’s episode with her final open casting call in NY, Abby announces that she’s putting together an entirely new all-star, junior elite team to rival her own girls. The Abby Lee Dance Company has two competitions this week and Paige has more dances than ever. Abby will do anything to win and makes a bold decision, leading to a clash with Dance Mom Kelly.

It was great to finally see one of the Moms stand up to Abbey. .Instead of slapping her she should have wound up and decked her. And is there something on the floor in front of the mothers that they keep staring at.
Finally if big fat Abbey doesn’t like what the girl’s are doing, get her fat ass up there to show them how. Those that can do, those that can’t teach.
If my daughter was in that dance class, I wouldn’t up with it. NO FUN AT ALL.

I have watched since day 1 of dance moms. I think Abby has gone so overboard and what was borderline abuse is now total abuse. These are kids and the threats of a new team are disgusting I would have hit Abby a long time ago. These girls are so talented and loved by America.

Regarding the incident between you and Kelley…you provoked her to the limit. You always provoke the moms and treat them so disrespectfully. How do you expect to be respected when you don’t respect them? You insult their kids in front of everyone. That’s horrible. You are getting a little too full of yourself. You threaten the kids with being replaceable. Let me tell you that you too, are replaceable. There are plenty of other reality dance shows out there. So you better think twice before being so quick to say you are replacing the dance team. The original girls and moms are what make this show interesting. If you replace them you might as well kiss your show goodbye.

Oh I wanted someone to deck that fat spray tanned Bitch for so long. .I only wished it lasted longer. Abbey is mentally unstable and had no right to work with children. . We all think she is so abusive. . She should be in jail. Who talks to children like that? Especially good girls like she has. Her choreography SUCKS. Same moves every routine. . Always ending on the floor in some lame pose. .FIRE THAT BITCH MOMS… There are plenty of studios that would love to have the talent your girls have. Let Abbey replace them it would be the best thing you could do for them.
I think Chloe is truly and awesome dancer. I hate that she has to endure each the constant emotional pain that Abby bestows upon her. Chloe….. You deserve so much better.
Abby is disgraceful. She is nothing more than a glorified bully. We won’t be watching anymore, love the girls, can’t stand the disgusting dance “instructor”.
Um its like professional football. If the players dont win. They fire the coach. If you want to win. The coach should teach winning routines. Lets see some new shit abby. Quit paying abbey to run her mouth and gain weight. Make her earn her money. Ive watched the girls for years. Lets see something new. Winning girls represent a winning coach. Quit lifting your elbow abbey and lets see first every time because money talks. Bullshit walks. If abbey cant produce number ones every competition. Dont write her a check. Weight watchers in action. Give us winners or no dinners. No more checkbook theifing. Earn your money abbey. Put their money where your elbow bends. Just saying.
I agree completely with Joan. However, I will no longer be watching Dance Moms. I am tired of people making money, especially Abbey, off the misery of children and their parents who pay for her service. She acts like she’s doing THEM a favor. They are winning trophies for HER. Not the other way around. They have carried Abbey this far, she has not carried them. She has no clue how to treat people with respect. She acts like a tyrant and not a dance school teacher/owner. Every time a mom speaks back to her, she acts like she didn’t deserve it, ie. “see how she speaks to me.” Seriously? What in the world did you expect would happen? You spend weeks telling the girls that they may be replaced and then when Kelly takes her girls and leaves the competition you say they let the team down? YOU . . . let the team down Abbey! And you’ve let all the viewers down as well. Fame has gone straight to your head and your wallet. You will walk on anyone to get where YOU want to be. You use the kids to your advantage and show them no respect whatsoever. There is a difference between fear and respect. Your students should respect you, not fear you. And if you feel that acting that way is getting you respect . . . it’s not! You should be embarrassed of your behavior.

I love watching this show but Abby is totally out of control. She is so mean to the kids. What was going on with Abby’s face it looked weird and dark at the beginning in the studio?
Oh my god I was elated to see one of those mom’s give that monster what she so desperately begged for and deserved. She verbally abuses every one of those girls on a daily basis. Theway she speaks to and about these women WHO PAY HER RENT is atrocious. Why do n they keep coming back? It makes me sick. I took dance for 21 years and no teacher of mine ever spoke to us or our moms like that. .but then again our moms didn’t sit for hours on end watching our classes. . They had lives..abbey miller YOU GOT WHAT YOU ASKED FOR AND IT’S A PUNK BITCH MOVE to call the cops on kelly.. Let the cops see the tape. . You provoked her. . Poor Kelly was so upset she was bright red. . Abby was lying saying her face got scratched. . She should have her teeth knocked down her throat for the way she talks and behaves around children. She shouldnt be allowed around children. She has too many anger and control issues she should be locked far far away. When I see all those little girls and mom’s cheering for her when they get off the bus at competitions. . They just want to be on tv.. NO MOTHER IN HER RIGHT MIND WOULD EVER ALLOW SOMEONE TO SPEAK TO AND ABOUT THEIR CHILD LIKE ABBEY DOES…I just wished kelly really kicked her ass. It would be worth the jail time. You go Kelly…I support you 100%.

It’s so sad that this woman, Abby Miller, has been given this platform to show her ignorance and abusive behavior towards children and their mothers. But I also am amazed that these mothers keep going back for more. Is the money and fake fame really worth the horrible behavior their children are being taught. I hate violence but Abby should have been slapped in the mouth a long time ago and Bravo should be ashamed for not reeling her in. This would still be a good show just watching these beautiful young ladies compete across the nation each week with the Candy Apples thrown in to stir things up every so often.
I can’t believe that Abbey was holding ice on her forehead, as if that hurt. If Abbey would have come at me like a fricken animal, I would have decked her if not pushed her back so hard she would have seen the stars she always wishes for.
In regards to Mellisa and Maddie, OMG, yes it’s a dance class and competition, but girls, let me tell you that friendship will mean more and definetly take you further than Abbeys dancing. Maddie you need to grow up, tell your Mom how you feel about your friendship with Chloe and sorry but once in a while have the guts to tell Abbey what she makes you do to Chloe is wrong and stand up for your friends.
I don’t blame Kelly, Brooke and Paige if they never come back, but will miss them.
Aso far as Abbey goes, why would she call the cops on Kelly, but when The Candy Witch hit her, she just cried to her mommy?
Abbey, you are loosing it as bad as the Apple Witch when it comes to competion. It’s not only about the win, but the girls and your relationship with them too.
I could not agree more. I want to shake maddie.. She’s old enough to see how Abbey uses her to hurt the other girls. She uses her and is so disgusting the way Abbey hugs her to her bosom like the perverrbial mother figure. No dance teacher I ever saw in my 18 years of dance lessons EVER MANIPULATED AND ABUSED their students the way Abbey does…Oh and the latest “MAC Z” bull shit. SHE is using MacKenzie to lash out at Kelly s daughter. MacKenzie cannot sing any more than Nia can Dance. . I have stopped watching this show because I don’t think child abuse should be made into a sport.
Abby is replaceable!! Others are not. Why does she think she can verbally abuse those girls and that they are “having an opportunity of a lifetime” to work with her??? She’s insane!!!
I have watched Dance Moms since it first aired and I can say for the first time, I’m turning my recorder off and I will not watch Dance Moms again. I’m not proud of Kelli’s actions, but hooray for standing up for your girls. I can not believe Abby would go to such Drama and call the police and have an ice pack on her head, Really? You provoke people and you run and hide, that is a sign of a coward. For all the moms, shame on you, you are evidently in it for the TV fame, you should be standing by your life long friends. As far as Melissa, it’s one thing to lie, but to let your child lie is unconconcievable. I have always liked Chloe and Mia personally, but Christie needs to stand with Kelli and move on, as far as Dr. Holly; you should be wiser. I feel sorry for these kids and I would never subject my kids or any kids to this woman. Melissa can not be trusted at all, she is a mother who would sell her soul to the devil to get Mattie ahead, sorry I believe Chloe is a better dancer by a long shot.
I’m with ya Deidre. I’ve watched from the beginning as well, but no more! I feel like by my watching the show, I am enabling the bullying of these children by Abby. No more!
Abby is the exactly what is wrong with coaches today, they are always looking to build a winning team by bringing in the best kids, when they should be concentrating on teaching the kids and making their students and players the best they can be. I used to love Dance moms and looked forward to watching it each week. But Abby has become so out of control the show has turned into a bad episode of Jerry Springer. I’ve lost interest and won’t be watching Abby abuse her students anymore. Complete disappointment way to turn a cute show about beautiful little dancers into a drama filled piece of trash that is a complete waste of time.
I hate the way these girls ( especially Chloe who was once the most beautiful of all these dancers + Brooke.so talented, Mia, Paige, Kendall, work so hard) have just withered under Abby’s abusive behavior.These girls looked so beaten down + miserable last night. Even the love + loyalty the girls had for each other has disappeared. If these people are making tons of $$ to participate I get it but the show is too uncomfortable to watch. If this behavior is real, it is a disgusting demonstration of a coach way crossing the line to abuse.
Cholbird is a wonderful dancer but page is so awesome on the floor… Kelly holly Christie take your children and run Abby is on a binge towards your childern.. I like watching all the kids dance and no hate to tell abby and Melissa that Mattie can’t out dance cholera bird nor brooke. Give cholera and Brooke the time effort and correct style and mattie will never see the top… I really think Gianni should take all the kids besides.Melissa’s and show fat mouth abby and melissa she and the girls are better than them and abby I’m telling you now better been glad Kelley barely defendednherself it had been me you’d been on the floor and bleeding don’t cry wolf you started the fight you just ain’t woman enough to take your ads kicking like a woman….. cry baby abby.

OMG! I too am so finished with this show. Abby Miller may have had success in the past but she is ugly inside and out. Child abuse comes in many forms and she is verbally damaging these girls for life.
All dance moms please take your kids and run as fast and far as possible!
Love watching the girls dance!. Chloe dances so beautifully & gracefully. I love to watch Brooke’s acrobatics. And, Mia has such strength & control. Paige is beautiful. Her dancing shows her graceful lines. Kindle has such energy & draws you into her dance. McKenzie is an amazing dancer & entertainer. Maddie dances beautifully, but could use a lesson in loyalty to friends. Friends will last forever. Abby won t! Just start stop home schooling & lose a few. She will drop you like Brooke. Love the dance! Won’t be watching Abby abuse these girls or treat their moms disrespectfully. She can get 10 new competition teams. But, I will not be watching. I watch for the girls, not Abby!
Seriously. ..mia can’t dance to save her little life. She is so clutzy and awkward. . No wonder she can’t handle a solo. Sorry to be cruel but I am honest. Poor Holly.. We can see the pain in her face coz her kid can’t dance
