The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Stephanie Performs Miraculous Surgery On Nate’s Damaged Hand?

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) was recommended as a Chief of Staff candidate by Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). His mother’s friend and colleague accepted Genoa City Memorial Hospital’s subsequent offer, and she is moving to town.
Viewers knew as soon as years-old flashbacks were shown of how Nate lost his ability to perform surgery that the possibility of a miracle was introduced.
A standard technique in the daytime world is to refresh the minds of devoted fans and educate newer audience members about older storylines that are about to be developed.
Nate’s right hand isn’t currently usable. But if a top-flight doctor like Stephanie can perform surgery on him or she leads the effort that accomplishes that goal, then Nate’s time at Winters Incorporated might come to an end this year.
Devon Winters Won’t Stand In His Cousin’s Way
Devon Winters (Bryton James) was directly responsible for Nate’s hand injury. As retrospective scenes showed, he punched him in the face during a confrontation about Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy).
The fall Nate took and the severe laceration to his hand ended his career as a surgeon. At the time and until now, the outcome was said to be permanent damage.
However, time passes, medicine advances, and soap opera writing staffs revisit seemingly closed-ended climaxes.
As audiences know, everything is possible in this version of reality, and Devon probably won’t, or shouldn’t, push back if Nate tries to return to his surgical vocation.
Audra Cortes Pops Back In
Audra Cortes (Zuleyka Silver) had an interesting sit-down with Nate at Crimson Lights. Nate broke with her in the recent past because he felt she proved to be untrustworthy.
It was a shame to see that couple dissolve because Nate was good for Audra. She opened up to him more than she had to anyone since Noah Newman (Lucas Adams).

Audra encouraged Nate to reconsider whether he’s using his talents in a way that is most satisfying for his career.
He spoke about needing to work at night on spreadsheets, with that representing success.
She keenly recognized that his passion remained in medicine. So, that was the purpose of putting those characters together, if just for that moment.
Will Nate Hastings Put His Faith In Surgery?
Assuming that Stephanie plays a major or facilitating role in Nate’s immediate career redirection, some questions can be asked. Would he take a major risk knowing that heartbreak could be the outcome?
Surgery to repair his damaged hand could be performed. But to what degree would it be successful?
He might gain a greater range of motion or the possibility of developing his renewed use of that hand.
Yet, the type of tasks Nate has been able to perform in his personal life, be it holding Audra in the past or using a tablet for Winters’ business, starkly contrasts with the precise dexterity needed when operating on a patient.
Nate may need to decide if he believes the chances of him gaining full use of his hand are strong enough to pursue that risk, assuming that potential.
