The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Is There Enough Proof To Put Matt In Jail?

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) is telling the truth about his amnesia and the bursts of memory flashbacks. The Newmans don’t want to believe him, but Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) does, and so does his estranged wife.
Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun) knows the current version of Matt more deeply than anyone. The light in her eyes revealed that she thinks it’s at least possible that Matt, whom she knew and married as Mitch Bacall, is genuine.
Sharon Newman (Sharon Collins) knew Matt as her boyfriend and, eventually, the coward who brutally attacked her.
She’s stuck in that time of life and is naturally responding to the recent assaults he’s made against her loved ones and his attempt to kill her and others in the abandoned garage he used to conduct his illegal business.
Phyllis Summers Defends The Villain
Phyllis sees herself in Matt. That’s the draw for her and probably for him.
This would be a most unusual and interesting couple. Just imagine how Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) would react, along with Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian), and possibly Summer Newman (last played by Allison Lanier).
It will be interesting to see if these characters are being paired. Phyllis wasn’t being honest when she said she was attracted to and cared about Matt. But he does find her appealing.
Howarth’s character might avoid a jail sentence. If that proves true, the plot path has been sent for his post-Sienna romance. Who else does Phyllis have to choose?
Victor Newman Insists That His Family Will Be Protected
Victor means business. Nick knew it after his father called him out after learning that he was double-dealing with Phyllis.
Nick intended to have Detective James Burrow (Matt Cohen) witness him killing Matt, and it would be ruled self-defense. That pill-inspired idea was reckless.

Thankfully, Nick’s collapse means he won’t be able to exact vigilante justice. Whether he tries again after rehabilitation is a storyline that could be told down the daytime road.
Matt Clark Is A Life-Saver
Seeing Matt administer chest compressions to Nick is impressive. He recognized that his recent enemy had overdosed and went into action.
Phyllis gave mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, with Nick’s former wife being familiar with that area of his face. Like Matt, she was also playing the anti-villain and doing a good deed.
Whether Detective Burrow of restored District Attorney Christine Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) can gather enough evidence to prosecute Matt is an open question. He was set free in the recent past due to a lack of evidence.
So, if what happened in Las Vegas, Nevada, doesn’t stay there, then maybe the Newman family and Sienna will get their wish. But if not, then Howarth could remain with the cast indefinitely, and that would be great for fans of this show.
