Longtime rival, Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), wants Hope to keep quiet and doesn’t care if she moves on. Wood’s character isn’t exhibiting wise business sense and is projecting a grudge, at least in Hope’s opinion.

So, prodding Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) to pursue a co-Chief Executive Officer role with Forrester Creations is a creative idea. It would wipe out Steffy’s power and likely restore Hope for the Future.

Ridge Forrester Supports His Wife

Hope’s idea would be far-fetched if Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) weren’t Brooke’s husband. Viewers know that Ridge has married Brooke nine times. That alone means that Hope’s idea can’t be ruled out.

Sure, Ridge hasn’t considered replacing Steffy. But then again, it’s not his decision because Eric Forrester (John McCook) is the Chairman Emeritus and FC has a Board of Directors.

So, ousting Hope wouldn’t be as simple as Brooke telling Ridge that she wants that spot and then him giving it to her. Alternatively, FC could develop a three-person administrative function where Brooke doesn’t replace Steffy but joins her and Ridge atop the fashion house.

Steffy Forrester Finnegan Would Fight That Future

Getting Ridge’s support for this type of significant structural change would be crucial because Steffy would fight it. She would know that any three-person heading would mean potential two-to-one overruling on major issues.

Steffy telling Hope that her eponymous line being indefinitely paused was purely business felt fake. The veneer with which Wood’s character delivered the news and her reaction to Hope’s response reinforce what seems like more than Hope’s speculation.

Hope intends to permanently neutralize Steffy’s ability to mine old grudges and repeatedly stymie her career. Of course, if Brooke doesn’t become co-CEO, then Hope has what she believes is an offer to bolt to Logan.

Stephanie Forrester Would Approve?

Hypothetically, would Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) approve of Brooke becoming co-CEO if she were alive and retired?

Assume that Stephanie didn’t die but still bonded with Brooke in her advanced years. In that scenario, she might approve of Brooke having greater power at FC. However, Steffy is her granddaughter, and that likely means Flannery’s character would keep her namesake blood relative in her position of power.

Eric has reestablished his prominence within the company he and Stephanie co-founded. If Brooke is determined to will this into existence, then she’ll need his support and would likely seek to secure that as well, which would also put him, like Ridge, in an awkward position.

This latest development is smart on Hope’s part, with whatever happens. It could result in Brooke getting what she feels she deserves. But if that doesn’t happen, then this mother-daughter team could offer their talent to Katie Logan Spencer (Heather Tom), with Logan truly becoming a family business.
