The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) isn’t thinking rationally, and that’s why he’s making continued mistakes. For the moment, he believes his wife doesn’t suspect him.

Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) has often been mentioned as a world-renowned psychiatrist. But even the best doctor can never be one’s own patient. So, like Deacon, she’s behaving impulsively and has put herself in danger.

Sheila Carter Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown) has willed herself into believing that Deacon is loyal and that Taylor is selfless. B&B’s most notorious villain couldn’t be more wrong.

Deacon Sharpe Went Off The Rails

How many times has Sheila been derided for making terrible mistakes?

Devoted viewers know that it’s always been fashionable to put Sheila down. Now, her reputation was built badly over the course of many decades. So, it was understandable that all negatively impacted players in this version of Los Angeles, California, would respond with fury whenever Sheila attempted to reinsert herself into their lives.

But Sheila did not break her marriage vows to Deacon by withholding information about Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada) not having died last year. She was in an impossible position and never intended to harm Deacon by making that choice.

Deacon believed otherwise and used that plot point as the basis of shifting his romantic gaze from Sheila to Taylor. He sought her out as his therapist, and then the good doctor made the second mistake.

Taylor Hayes Could Have Said No

Why would someone whose family had such a terrible history with Sheila accept her husband as a patient?

Deacon wasn’t going to have his teeth surgery by a dental colleague or have some form of surgery performed by a fellow doctor in the same practice. No, Taylor agreed to talk with him about his marital troubles.

Taylor went well past the unjustifiable line when she began accepting his personal compliments and eventual flirtations. She allowed herself to develop feelings for Deacon when she was clearly vulnerable because Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) broke their engagement.

She could have told Deacon no at any point, including when she agreed to invite him to the cliff house, where the Finnegan family lives. Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) will react with justifiable outrage when she learns about her mother’s reckless behavior.

Sheila Carter Sharpe Puts Two And Two Together

Two people, meaning Deacon and Taylor. Two clues, meaning the groans Sheila heard and the Il Giardino pizza box in the cliff house living room.

The above won’t prove anything immediately. But those crumbs and Sheila reexamining what happened when she acted in assumed defense of Taylor is leading to a delayed reveal with an intended, unpredictable, soapy outcome.

Credit to the writing staff for not delivering the expected outcome yet. Having time to consider and plan her response, Sheila may prove to be as dangerous a threat as Deacon and Taylor anticipate, or maybe she’ll surprise them and the viewers. That direction could be good or bad, which makes this storyline all the more terrific.
