The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Victor Kidnaps Jack – Mob Town Or Genoa City?

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) kidnapping of Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) isn’t totally preposterous, but it is a stretch.
Devoted viewers know that these men haven’t liked each other for years, but taking him hostage is a diversion from what Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) did.
The current head of Newman Enterprises is Phyllis, not Jack. But Victor hasn’t calculated a way to strike back at her, so he’s targeted his longtime nemesis.
This storyline stretches back to when Victor first began talking about a man named Aristotle Dumas. He said that the person was a worthy opponent and hid his identity for several years.
Cane Ashby Reintroduction Tied To Today
Taking a dormant character and reviving that persona is a daytime staple. Many past characters have reappeared, and sometimes they’ve also been recast.
The character Billy Flynn (Cane Ashby) is playing was originally portrayed by Daniel Goddard (Cane), whose long run ended in 2019. So, it’s not surprising that this character would eventually return or that a recast to a daytime veteran, like Flynn, happened.
Goddard was a solid actor who was well-liked by the fans. Flynn has made this character his own and deserves full accolades for seamlessly fitting into the cast.

Aristotle Dumas Gamble Pays Off?
Two points are being made in the open-ended subject header question. The first involves Cane’s gamble, and the second relates to Y&R’s writing staff.
As for Cane, he took an idea that was created by his father, Colin Atkinson (the late, great Tristan Rogers), and made the most of it for a short period.
His Aristotle persona used billions of ill-gotten wealth, as Victor believes, to build a behemoth that was called Arabesque.
That company had the grit to obtain businesses and grow its cutthroat reputation, which Victor respected. But it also created an artificial intelligence tool that has proven to be poison for those who thought they harnessed it, including Cane and Victor.
Phyllis likely stands to be bitten by that digital snake as well. When that happens is unknown, but plays into Y&R’s writing staff gambling that viewers will accept Victor operating like a mob boss and multiple other characters also going beyond levels they’ve ever reached, most especially Phyllis.
Jack Abbott Will Be Freed
Longtime fans know that Victor once replaced Jack with a doppelganger while he was married to Phyllis, who was then played by Gina Tognoni. So, the Moustache surely intends to rattle the character Stafford is again playing by replaying the kidnapping scenario.
Buzz about Patty Williams’ (Stacy Haiduk) return could directly link to Jack’s predicament. It would make sense to have this two-time ex-wife be involved with his kidnapping, based on her mental fragility.
Of course, Jack will be freed in time. Whether Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) caves to the ransom demand, handing over Chancellor, will be intriguing.
Plus, Victor is going after Diane Jenkins Abbott’s (Susan Walters) renewed husband, with Walters’ character being his two-time ex-wife, and Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) ire being inflamed.
