The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig) is in love. No matter Steffy Forrester Finnegan’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) threats or Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) persuasive logic, she will connect with Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan).
Fans likely feel that they won’t be led this far without a payoff. Making Deacon taboo increases his appeal. But it’s fair to wonder if Sheila Carter Sharpe’s (Kimberlin Brown) unpredictable nature will cause her husband to reconsider leaving her.
Taylor’s turn toward Deacon has been handled slowly. They’ve recently admitted their mutual feelings after a buildup that lasted a handful of months.
The Good Doctor Sees Her Patient
This is the soapy part of the tale. The idea of Taylor accepting Deacon as a patient and Sheila monitoring his progress through multiple unannounced check-ins at Taylor’s office was hard to believe.
Yet, it is reasonable to think that after Deacon thought his way out of being committed to Sheila, he would make a move on someone he was familiar with. Taylor is the ideal rebound in his mind because she’s all that Sheila isn’t.
That hurtful comparison will cause Sheila to react when she realizes the truth. Taylor hasn’t been the type of loyal friend that Brown’s character was certain that she was.
Deacon Sharpe Wants More Out Of Life
Deacon was in the penitentiary for years in soap-time. He kept in contact with his daughter, Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle), through penned letters that were reciprocated.
His release from jail eventually led to a chance meeting with Sheila at Il Giardino’s bar before he owned it. His Italian financing has always been suspect, with viewers wondering if Sheila helped to orchestrate that deal based on her link to Massimo Marone (Joseph Mascolo).
The elevated restaurateur recently made a verbal deal with Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) that allows Spencer Publications to invest in Il Giardino’s business. Deacon also wants a deal with Sheila, where she accepts a divorce, and then he pursues Taylor openly.
Good luck with that, Deacon, is a likely refrain he’ll continue to hear. Although an alternative course would be far more compelling to pursue.
Sheila Carter Sharpe Becomes The Poor Soul?
Steffy and her father are totally opposed to Deacon being with Taylor. They fear that Sheila’s inevitable awareness of that potential affair will cause chaos to erupt.
Deacon’s children are supporting their dad’s interest in Taylor. They’ve wanted him away from Sheila, and this opportunity could allow that to happen.
However, like Deacon, Hope, and Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) share a seemingly naive outlook. They also want to believe that he can break from Sheila and be with Taylor.
A traditional storyline would have Sheila go on a rampage after she becomes aware of Deacon’s interest in Taylor. A potentially great story wouldn’t have Sheila respond as anticipated, but instead be devastated and then collapse mentally. The aim of that type of plot would position her as the poor soul who generates sympathy from the audience and possibly, from unexpected residents of this version of Los Angeles, California, as well.
