The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Cane Becomes Official King Of Genoa City – Phyllis Elevates Herself To Queen

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) has officially taken control of Newman Enterprises. He told Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) that his and Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) names are on the documents that legally transfer power from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

To say that Victor wants his hands around Cane’s neck would be the greatest understatement of the new year. The Moustache is working a scheme to make the new head of Newman Enterprises believe Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and their children are in danger.

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) handled this dirty assignment, locating Lily, Mattie Ashby (Lexie Stevenson), and Charlie Ashby (Noah Alexander Gerry). He went against his father’s wishes when admitting what Victor’s plan was, with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) also later informed.

Cane Ashby Is A Reckless Amateur

There is no doubt that Cane is bold. But he isn’t on Y&R’s sister show, The Bold and the Beautiful.

Regardless of how beautiful he thinks his moves have been since last summer, there’s no doubt that the high-wire act he’s performed is fraught with continued risk. He gained control of Newman Enterprises through illegal means.

Victor was handcuffed from stopping Cane because he lost control of the artificial intelligence program Phyllis stole and then gave to the Moustache. But another element prevented Newman Enterprises founder and chairman from blocking Cane. He used the AI weapon to topple Arabesque and The Shadow Room.

The Ashby Twins Return By Summer?

Mattie and Charlie haven’t been seen on screen in years. The actors who portrayed Cane and Lily’s children could rejoin the cast because it doesn’t seem like they’ve been SORAS’d (soap opera rapid aging syndrome), based on the dialogue about them since the Cane recast happened.

Lily recently left Genoa City, Wisconsin. She went to be with Mattie. Viewers know that Khalil is having her second child and has taken maternity leave.

Y&R generally records episodes approximately a month in advance. Winters could have also filmed advanced scenes, but if not, then she will only be referenced until her return.

It’s reasonable to assume that Lily will be back in GC late this spring or by summer. A nice surprise would be if Mattie and Charlie returned with her.

Reporting Cane Ashby And Phyllis Summers To The Authorities

Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) told Phyllis that she reported what happened to Newman Enterprises to the federal authorities. Stafford’s character thought that was foolish because Victoria would implicate Victor for using the AI program on others.

Longtime fans have to think that Victor isn’t going to be the deposed head of Newman Enterprises forever. But how he gets his company back, or what’s left of it, is murky.

Cane and Phyllis have demonstrated the ability to slither out of trouble. But one or both conspirators must face justice, Victor style, eventually. Cane is king for now, and Phyllis is his queen. But Victor and Nikki are likely to again reign supreme after plenty of soap has been thrown by all parties in this wild storyline.
