The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Cane Forces a Shocking Alliance as Victor and Jack Team Up

The Young and The Restless: Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn)

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) has a trick up his sleeve all along. As he strategically shared with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), the artificial intelligence program has revenge implanted in its digital brain.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is in danger of having Newman Enterprises collapse on him, which would be ironic and justified depending upon one’s perspective. He engineered the decimation of Arabesque, using the stolen AI program.

Cane wasn’t interested in payback, believing he was the cause of his downfall. That accurate assessment changed when Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) left town to be with Mattie Ashby (last played by Lexi Stevenson in 2019 when Daniel Goddard, the original Cane, exited the cast).

Lily Winters Loves Ex-Husband With Reservations

Lily does care about Cane, no matter what she expresses in words. However, she is fully justified in being leery of him because of his behavior since revealing himself as Aristotle Dumas.

All of his excuses or what he sees as explanations fell flat. Lily was willing to give him a series of second chances since this summer, including accepting the AI program that he agreed to give her, until learning that Phyllis hacked it away.

Cane’s actions as Aristotle, before the grand reveal at the chateau in the south of France last summer, could have been forgiven. But his erratic behavior since that point in the plot and specific involvement with Phyllis proved too much for Lily to take.

Phyllis Summers Is Riding The Wave

Phyllis is in phoenix mode again. She sees Cane as a vehicle to regain status and reclaim power in Genoa City, Wisconsin.

She’s encouraging him to embrace his Aristotle persona by dissuading him from wanting Lily. Phyllis has capitalized on the messy nature of his attempted rapprochement with his two-time ex-wife.

Cane should know not to take personal or relationship advice from Phyllis, whose track record in that area of life is abhorrent. But she is highly appealing and available.

Victor Newman And Jack Abbott Pair For The Win

Victor despises Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). There’s no rational reason why he still blames the head of Jabot for Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) supposedly nearly dying in the recent past. But he does, and thus the grudge.

Jack was able to take control of Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) because Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) had the Jabot security team track all things Newman. But Victor initially demurred when they offered Matt to him because he’s stubborn.

However, Cane’s move to destroy Victor alters the so-called great man’s perspective. Grudge begone, Jack is useful, and so these legendary daytime rivals will team up, as they have on a handful of past occasions, and that produced arguably great soap.
