The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Holden And Audra Lament That Claire Isn’t Over Kyle Yet
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) and Audra Cortes (Zuleyka Silver) are in love but are blocked by Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin), respectively. An unexpected Thanksgiving reconnection also means that this quartet isn’t done with the drama yet.
Inviting Claire to the Abbott family dinner was a smart move. Kyle wanted Claire there for Harrison Abbott’s (Redding Munsell) sake and for his own. But Kyle honestly told the woman he loves that he wasn’t using Harrison to get her to the holiday celebration.
Meanwhile, Holden created a memory with Claire in Los Angeles, California. In contrast, Audra has nothing and is increasingly embattled. She also loves Kyle and refuses to admit it, even to herself.
Why Did Holden Novak Reveal Audra Cortes?
Holden wants to be Claire’s next man. Like Kyle, he’s been open about his feelings.
Telling Claire the story about what happened in LA when he first met Audra was deceptive. As the audience later learned, he and Claire were involved in something far worse than stealing money from a likely underworld figure.
The fans don’t know what happened after the ever-cool black and white flashbacks ended. But something bad did, with the implication that some other type of major crime took place.
So, informing Claire that Audra’s name is Cortes and only giving a partial story about their misdeeds in California was purposeful. Holden wanted to appear to be forthcoming and noble. He was neither, which should work to Kyle’s advantage.
Kyle Abbott Knows The Struggle Is Real
Claire is desirable for many reasons, including her purity. Only in the soap world would an adult, who intended to kill her parents and other maternal family members, be excused so quickly and easily.
Suspending disbelief means that Kyle’s and Holden’s love for Claire is real. The triangle they are part of might also morph into a rectangular object because Audra isn’t going away.
So, Kyle has to convince Claire that he’s worth her effort. At the same time, he needs to fight off Audra’s relentless snark. That will become easier if Claire shares the news about her half-million-dollar check theft and true last name.
Claire Newman Nearing A Christmas Decision Point
Genoa City, Wisconsin’s, major holidays start with fun. Halloween would have been better if Claire had been home and trick-or-treating with her guys. But she was all over Holden in LA.
Being with Kyle, Harrison, and the Abbotts on Thanksgiving proved meaningful. The kiss she and Kyle shared reinforced their mutual feelings.
Christmas follows the National Day of Thanks, and with it comes the emotional pull toward loved ones. Kyle is Claire’s first and continued love. Holden is a distraction until he proves otherwise, and that will be hard to do considering the anchor that Audra represents.
