The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Jack Declares War, Phyllis’ Reign of Control Crumbles
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has been preparing for Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) latest attack. He’s also ready for battle after being given a heads-up by Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).
The artificial intelligence tool that was created at Arabesque was something Cane wanted to use. He intended to take control of Jabot, Newman Enterprises, and other companies. But his desire to win back Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) trust causes him to change tactics.
It appeared as though Jack wouldn’t have to worry about this digital assault. But one of his ex-wives, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), stole Cane’s weapon and believes she’s already leveraged Victor.
Phyllis Summers Is The Focal Point
Phyllis wrested control of the AI weapon from Cane without his knowledge. Her hacking skills are so crisp that her fingerprints aren’t yet visible.
So, Cane suspects that she is the culprit but can’t prove it. He’s adapted his stated suspicion by requesting her help.
Tasking her to investigate the case included having her surveilled. Phyllis’ hubris appeared to cause her to be surprised when Cane said he knew she met with Victor at the Ranch. But she didn’t divulge the deal she offered Jack’s sworn enemy.
Victor Newman’s Acceptance Of The Deal
It wasn’t unusual for Victor to meet Phyllis’ demand that he cede control of Jabot in return for her giving him the AI tool. Her aim appears to be a frame, where Victor would be tagged as the user of an illegal computer program.
Of course, the Moustache gained his fame, reputation, money, and power by being a lout. Yet, there’s no denying his cagey brilliance in remaining atop the soapy business world since the 1980s.
His agreement to receive Cane’s AI computer program and then allow her to become head of Jabot might be a facade. Victor’s goal is to destroy Jack. So long as that happens, Victor might not care what becomes of Jabot, and he could think that having Phyllis head Jack’s family business would add an extra insult.
Jack Abbott Has Few Options Remaining
Jack and Diane Abbott Jenkins (Susan Walters) are in sync. Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) recently realized that Jack trusts him implicitly when it comes to family defense. Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is fully loyal, as his return from Los Angeles, California, reaffirmed.
But Jack doesn’t have many options beyond Abbott family unity. The Abbotts will be flying in the darkness of daytime unless Billy can ferret information or at least direction out of Phyllis.
She may have no ill will toward Jabot and will give it back to Jack, assuming Victor uses the AI program, steals it, and then follows through on his promise to let her head it. But if that assumption proves wrong, then Jack is in trouble.
