Outback Fans Fall In Love With GH Pup – Are Beagles Good Pets?
On General Hospital in July, fans saw that Emma Scorpio Drake (Braedyn Bruner) heard from Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza), that her newfound pup, Outback, was a thief. Well, on National Dog Day, a photo arrived on social media that got ABC viewers gushing about the cute pup. Are beagles good pets? Read on to find out.
The Cute Puppy Got Fans Gushing
It’s been a week since @generalhospitalabc shared a photo on Instagram of Outback, Emma, and Gio in a behind-the-scenes pic. However, interest in pups remains high. At the time, lots of people, including Finola Hughes (Anna Devane), loved the photo.
It showed the duo sitting down while Braedyn Bruner held onto Outback. The caption called for ABC fans to give the pup a shout out because it was a special day honoring dogs. Well, the admin didn’t need to ask twice because so many people already adore the puppy.

In the comments section, it became apparent that the pup found at a softball game in Rice Park already stole the hearts of fans. One of them wrote, “I love them and the adorable beagle!”

Are Beagles Good Pets?
According to The Barmy Beagle, run by real people who own real beagles, the cute pups have some drawbacks, and a lot of pros in their favor. Because they’re small, they won’t intimidate kids. They also love snuggling up and giving cuddles.
Keen for a game and playful times, the whole family can get involved in interacting with the dogs. One favorite game is to hide “treats” in extremely “obscure places,” and then watching as, without fail, the dog locates them. Those are the pros.
The Downside To The Dogs
General Hospital is a very popular show, and millions of people tune in and watch the daytime drama. So, many folks might decide that a beagle’s just the sort of dog they want. After all, they’re good with kids, easy to groom, and can occupy themselves. If trained, they even get along with cats.
However, the website did note some drawbacks. First up is the fact that your neighbors might hate the loud howling and baying voice that seems bigger than the dog. Secondly, they are “stubborn” and can be “destructive.”
They tend to be master thieves when it comes to poaching food, and even worse, they enjoy rolling in “poop.” However, even worse than that, they don’t mind snacking on it either. Plus, they don’t smell all that good, and not just because of their quirky snack preference. They give off a natural “musky” smell that some folks find unpleasant.
