General Hospital Spoilers: Robert and Diane May Be Running Low on Time to Make Their Relationship Soar as Holly Plots to Bring Lucky Home
General Hospital spoilers leak Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) are coming back into the spotlight a bit, but the fans may not be pleased with how this storyline could pan out.
We’ve noticed that Robert and Diane’s relationship hasn’t exactly been hot and heavy. As much as we want both of them to find love again, most of their interactions have been laced with discord. Robert doesn’t agree with the bulk of Diane’s work being covering for her client, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Diane doesn’t like Robert’s bias toward Sonny, nor how he salivates over taking him down and presumes his guilt at every turn.
Still, they’ve managed to make this union work through all of that, as well as that slip-up Robert had when his ex-wife, Holly Sutton (Emma Samms), came back to town.
With things shaping up to look like she may be returning soon, we have to wonder whether this will set Robert and Diane off-kilter once again.
General Hospital Spoilers — Diane Doesn’t Compete
How many times does Diane have to remind Robert that she’s not into competing for his attention? She wants a man who is going to make her the center of his world.
She won’t compete with his profession, because in her life, her own comes first. But another woman? Forget about it. Diane holds herself in such esteem that she would never stoop to that level.
Robert may not expect her to compete with Holly, but putting their relationship on hold so he can tend to his ex and play hero isn’t going to serve this union well.
GH Spoilers Claim This Romance is Lackluster
At the same time, the fans have been grumbling from the start that Diane and Robert were going nowhere. It appears the GH writers may understand that, too, since they hardly focus on them at all.
When we do see them, they’re usually not together but in action doing their jobs. We know better than to assume that’s all they’re good for. When fans thought Robert was going to rekindle something with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), they were all for it.
They miss Diane the way she was with Max Giambetti (Derk Cheetwood).
General Hospital Spoilers — Holly Drums Up More Trouble
Right now, Holly is semi-helping Anna and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) in their attempt to get Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) safely home to donate a portion of his liver to his dying sister, Lulu Falconeri (Alexa Havins).
That’s a tall order, and one they may only be able to pull off if Holly sacrifices herself and stays behind with Sidwell — which could spell death for her.
When Anna takes that news home to Robert, there’s a good chance he’s not going to settle for it. Anna clearly can’t go back into the danger zone and dupe Sidwell again, but could Robert get to the bottom of this and resume Holly?
