The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) thought she had Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) cornered. But that assumption reinforced her amateurish behavior.

Phyllis has control of Newman Enterprises. But, as her lawyer and friend, Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) told her, she didn’t earn that. She stole Victor’s life’s work using a stolen artificial intelligence program.

Now, facing the very real threat of going to prison, Phyllis happened upon Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) at Crimson Lights. What were the chances that would happen, considering all of the people who live in the mini metropolis that is Genoa City, Wisconsin?

Victor Newman Is Waiting Red Out

Victor agreed to Phyllis’ offer that she turn Matt over in exchange for him somehow ensuring that Christine Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) drop her legal pursuit against her was questionable.

The Moustache doesn’t have the ability to prevent the recently appointed District Attorney from pursuing wherever the facts lead, but maybe Victor planned on adjusting what was available to Christine.

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) dubbed Phyllis as Red years ago during their first marriage. But she’s a long way from those days when Stafford was building that character into a daytime stalwart.

If Christine feels she has enough evidence to file charges against Phyllis, then she will do it. That’s the gamble the head of what she’s calling Summers Conglomerate is taking.

Patty Williams Is The Worst Possible Connection

Patty did recover, to a certain extent, since viewers last saw her. However, the stable front she presents to everyone belies her still unsteady mind.

Jack has asked her directly if she’s working for Victor, and she’s denied it. Jack suspects otherwise, and viewers are privy to knowing that he’s right.

Haiduk’s returned but not redeemed character believes she’s making progress toward reconciliation with Jack. But her demeanor will radically shift whenever she recognizes that it isn’t happening.

Her link to Matt is troubling for many reasons. However, danger is ahead if Patty concludes that Jack is using her to get back at Victor, rather than falling in love again.

Matt Clark Is At The Center Of The Storm

Matt has been seeing flashes of his life as his recovery from amnesia continues. For the moment, he’s not a threat to the Newman family or anyone else.

Viewers know that Matt is sure to eventually reclaim complete awareness. That moment will present a climax that leads to conflict.

Phyllis could redeem herself if she uses her established connection, despite what Patty told Matt about her. Patty’s and Matt’s enemies are similar, which means that this pairing’s potential for destructive outcomes is intense, with both characters potentially being most greatly impacted.

Matt, Patty, or both could perish. But if that happened,
