‘Beyond The Gates’ Preview Week of May 18: Jacob’s Cover Blown, Grayson’s Scary Move, Donnell MIA
Beyond the Gates spoilers indicate that the CBS soap just released its preview for the week of May 18-22, and there are some major moments to look forward to. Find out about all the drama set to unravel over the next five days, below.
Ashley Morgan Is Terrified
The Beyond the Gates promo for the week of May 18 opens with a scene between Grayson Perez (Jordi Vilasuso) and Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob).
The two are in Ashley’s apartment when he hands her a portfolio. As he does this, the lab technician tells his gal pal, “I have to get this into your hands in case something happens to me.” The good nurse replies, “You’re seriously scaring me! What the he!! Is it going on?”
As scenes shift, Grayson is at the Doug McBride (Jason Graham) free clinic when he runs into Derek Baldwin (Ben Gavin).
Grayson has something in his hand as he tries to walk past Derek and says, “You have to get out of my way.” This is when Derek stops him and tells Grayson that he’s not going anywhere!
Donnell McBride Is Missing
As the preview progresses, it’s cotillion time! Samantha Richardson-Smith (Najah Jackson), Jessica (Camryn Jade), and Tyrell Richardson-Smith (Jaden Lucas Miller) are all dressed up and ready to perform their dance.
Except, Samantha looks stressed as she tells her brother, “We’re starting, and Donnell [McBride – Alex Cheeks] is not here. What am I going to do?”
The next scene shows a concerned Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) at the cotillion as she tells Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) that Donnell’s phone is going straight to voicemail and her daughter, Deanna McBride (Angela Fairley), isn’t answering either! What’s happened to Donnell?
Jacob Hawthorne Exposed
Nicole Dupree (Daphnee Duplaix) and Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) are shown next in the BTG promo as they excitedly introduce the 2026 “Debutants” and their escorts.
A clip of the group performing their dance is revealed, and while fans can see Tyrell and Jessica, it’s hard to tell whether Samantha is there with Donnell.
Now, onto some plasma ring drama, Jacob Hawthorne’s (Jibre Hordges) cover is blown. Next week, Dr. Lia Whitmore (Cecelia Specht) will be at the warehouse when she tells Jacob (who is turned away from her) to lift the hat.
When he does and looks her straight in the face, Lia is completely caught off guard as she horrifically states, “Jacob Hawthorne?”
As the preview wraps up, the final scene is of two police officers in a cop car. Shots can be heard in the background as they yell, “Shots fired! Shots fired! Move in!”
As the promo ends, fans can see the lights of police and emergency personnel, as law enforcement officers start running.
