Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has become the Newman’s public enemy number one. Phyllis is not caving to the pressure put on her by Victor and Victoria as they try to regain Newman Enterprises.

Victoria knows that the quickest way to get to Phyllis is her children and now but of them have cut her off. Is Summer’s reaction a farce?

Victoria went behind Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) back and involved his daughter after being asked not to. Summer Newman (Alison Lanier) has a life in Milan and hasn’t been concerned with things that were happening in Genoa City.

However, Summer suddenly wrote a letter to her mother cutting her out of her life. Are these really Summer’s words or not?

Did Victoria Newman Go Too Far?

Victoria already crossed that line by involving Summer in this mess. Redditt fans were the first to suggest that Victoria wrote this letter herself and never actually spoke with Summer.

Summer knows what her grandfather is capable of and she may have decided to allow this to play out on its own. Is Victoria using Summer’s absence for an elaborate lie to shut Phyllis down?

Summer may have decided that she didn’t want any contact with her mother. However, it would make more sense that Victoria penned this letter because Summer didn’t want to be involved at all. Victoria may have believed that this is the one way to hurt Phyllis and to regain Newman at the some time.

Phyllis Summers Was Hurt By That Letter

Phyllis was obviously hurt by the letter she believes is from Summer. After all, Phyllis loves her children beyond reason and believes they should feel the same about her. Victoria knows how much Phyllis’ kids mean to her and knows this is the one way to get to her. However, Phyllis just may outsmart Victoria after her elaborate ruse.

Currently, Phyllis is handling this pretty well and she is trying to get Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) back on her side. Will Phyllis end up giving in and handing Newman Enterprises back to the Newman’s? Will Phyllis continue to run Newman and stand up to Victoria’s lies? Will the truth finally come out that Victoria forged that letter and that Summer had nothing to do with this?
