‘Beyond The Gates’ Preview Week of April 6: Tomas Resigns, Tyrell’s Stalker, Anita’s Meltdown
Beyond the Gates spoilers note that the CBS soap just dropped its promo for the week of April 6-10, and there are some major moments to expect. Find out about all the drama set to unravel over the next five days, below.
Tomas Navarro Resigns
The Beyond the Gates preview starts with a clip between Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) and Tomas Navarro (Alex Alegria).
The young lawyer slaps a piece of paper on his boss’s desk and declares it’s his resignation letter. Bill looks shocked and asks Tomas if this is because of Hayley Hamilton (Marquita Goings), and Tomas says yes.
As the scenes shift, Naomia Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) is shown kissing Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) on their wedding day.
The couple is celebrating their anniversary during the Monday, April 6 episode, so it looks like there will be some fun video clips of their nuptials. Naomi is then at Orphey Genes as she tells someone that she’s terrified her husband won’t come home.
Anita Dupree’s Meltdown
As the promo continues, Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning) and Jacob are in the alleyway. Jacob tells Smitty, “I’m casting a wide net with this investigation, Smitty. I need to catch a whale,” as Smitty replies, “Or an Impaler!”
Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) is shown next at the Dupree mansion, on the couch with Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley).
Anita sternly says, “Stop right there, Vernon Dupree [Clifton Davis]!” Vernon stops dead in his tracks and turns around as Anita states, “You two must think I am booboo the fool.” Dani gives her dad a concerned look, as he stares back worried.
The Beyond the Gates preview video also profiles a scene between Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) and Detective Marcel Malone (Darrly W. Handy) at the police station.
Marcel tells Leslie, “Sheila is the only woman that doesn’t drive me nuts!” Fans may recall that Sheila is Marcel’s wife. Leslie asks the detective if that excludes “present company”, and replies with a laugh, “You drive me crazy!”
Tyrell Richardson’s Stalker
As the promo wraps up, Tyrell Richardson (Jaden Lucas Miller) storms into the Richardson home, as Samantha Richardson (Najah Jackson), Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon), and Smitty are sitting at the family table. He tells them all that a man has been following him. Smitty grabs the phone to call the police.
The final scene of the preview shows Tyrell and Samantha at Orphey Genes. Samantha angrily tells June (Jasmine Burke), “Can you just stop thinking about yourself and just be there for your kids. Is that too much to ask?” Tyrell looks over at June, shocked, as June looks genuinely stunned and hurt.
