The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers: Eric Angered By Bill’s Use Of His Designs Or Drawn Back To Logan?

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Eric Forrester (John McCook) wanted to teach his son a lesson. But Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) apology and acceptance of it were only the end of a chapter, not the conclusion of this storyline about family fashion conflict.

Eric was deeply hurt by Ridge forcing his dad to suddenly retire. While Ridge’s thoughts were well-intentioned, he didn’t consider Eric’s perspective. Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) went along with her husband, and this plot was pushed into happening.

Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) was a witness to the fallout that happened at the Forrester mansion on the day his wife purposely revealed that Eric was her secret lead designer. Katie Logan Spencer (Heather Tom) reveled in schooling her condescending older sister.

Ridge Forrester Sparked Unwanted Problems

Ridge is co-head of FC. Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is his co-head, as Eric wanted both family members to lead the business in the twenty-first century.

Steffy shares some blame, but not much, for not being prepared for what Bill is about to do. He told Katie that they paid Eric for his designs and, therefore, Logan owns them.

Katie was hesitant to move ahead but agreed with her renewed husband that Logan needed that jolt for its launch. So, as fans have seen in teaser scenes, it appears that the passionate designs Eric created for the burgeoning fashion house Katie dubbed Logan will soon be seen by the world.

Bill Spencer Is In It To Win It And So Is Katie Logan Spencer

Bill’s goal is to have Logan start hot. So, having Eric agree to mentor Katie and then be her lead designer was a major coup that a savvy business guy like Bill embraced.

Eric’s rapprochement with Ridge was something Bill endorsed. But he didn’t take his eye off the ball.

Katie told Diamont’s character that she wants his Dollar Bill persona to remain a part of who he is. That’s why she told him to put the sword necklace back on, which Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) took notice to, questioned, and then accepted as part of his dad’s revival.

A different angle to the return of Dollar Bill is that Dollar Katie is by his side, and together they hope to make a statement with Logan, not be the niche company Ridge and Brooke dismissively and naively think it can only be.

Eric Forrester Can’t Play The Same Cards

Eric asserted his family power. He decided to leave FC and work for Katie. Then, he opted to return to the company he co-founded with his legendary ex- and late wife, Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery).

However, ownership of his designs has to be a legal issue if anyone challenges Bill and Katie’s use of them. Eric won’t be able to play the family card with Bill, and Katie needs that work to make her fashion house’s launch electric.

It will be interesting to see if Eric sticks with his heart and stays at FC. He could allow Logan to keep the designs, but that could involve a legal fight. Alternatively, he could always return to Logan if another falling out with Ridge happens.

Kudos to the writing staff for merely pausing this fashion conflict, rather than short-circuiting it as seemed possible. Fans of daytime knew to wait patiently for more to follow, and that’s unfolding now in this version of Los Angeles, California.
