Steven Spielberg Disclosure Day, got more hype about the upcoming alien movie, making it a  lot more interesting. It happened this week when he talked about it at the SXSW Film & TV Festival in Austin, Texas. While plenty of folks already talk about it, what he said generated a lot more interest. More People Pay Attention

When the trailer dropped recently, even skeptics about UFOs, AKA UAPs and little green men, seemed hooked from the start. Of course, those who suspect we’re not alone and haven’t been for many decades, bought into the movie immediately. But now, it seems that more and more people pay attention to him.

In March, Spielberg got very candid about Disclosure Day, which drops on June 12. Well, apart from promoting the film, he also discussed his own personal take on things not of this world.

What Did Spielberg Say?

Speaking with Sean Fennessey, he leaned away from the storyline of the movie and revealed his own perspective.

Notably, he said:

I don’t know any more than any of you do, but I have a very strong, sneaking suspicion that we are not alone here on Earth right now.

Plus, he doesn’t believe that it’s a new phenomenon. Actually, it seems very interesting that he buys into a rather common theory among UFO buffs. He added, “The big question is: Are we alone now? And have we been alone over the last 80 years? Have we been alone over the last few thousand years?”

Influences From real Life

When we wrote about the “Spielberg Effect” recently, we mentioned how people sometimes reported little orbs dancing around. Well, it also seems that the creative director took note of that sort of thing. Additionally, Steven Spielberg Disclosure Day seemed rather heavily influenced by a New York Times story in 2017.

If you didn’t see it, basically, it covered Navy pilots seeing things they couldn’t explain: objects moving like nothing we’ve got. As the topic moved beyond sci-fi, he decided to take a different approach to Disclosure.

Presidents Move It Along

Remember when Barack Obama went viral saying the alien footage seemed real, but he couldn’t really talk about it more? Obviously, Spielberg factored that in as well. In fact, he joked during his appearance at the festival that it seems great for his project, adding, “Well, that’s great for business.”

Notably, the fact that Trump ordered declassified files in the near future also played nicely into the filmmaker’s narrative. Right now, tons of people suspect that Disclosure Day will be more like a documentary than a fantasy tale. Even more compelling is that CNET reported he also shot down rumors that AI was used to create the scenes that appear in the film.

Movie Fans React

When VETTED on YouTube covered the Steven Spielberg Disclosure Day development, plenty of people replied in the comments section. One of them opined, “Plot twist: it’s not sci-fi, Disclosure Day is a documentary.”

• The UFO community has literally advertised his new movie absolutely free of charge.
• …months back, Spielberg was talking about UFOs and they asked him what he thought they may be. From what I recall, he felt like future human time travelers was the most logical assumption. And that’s enough for me to firmly believe that this is likely the angle that Spielberg is running with in Disclosure Day.
• I think he’s talking about the near future because disclosure hasn’t happened yet but in his movie it happens. So it’s the near future. It could be a month in the future or a year in the future.

And that last comment in a single sentence says it all. This movie’s going to be a blockbuster whether it’s a documentary disguised as fiction or not.
