General Hospital Kate Mansi In Upcoming Flick, Casa Grande

General Hospital star Kate Mansi is taking a leap from daytime drama onto the silver screen. The Daytime Emmy winner is slated to appear in a new movie, Casa Grande, and we have all the exciting details!

The 4-1-1 On Casa Grande

According to Deadline, Casa Grande will hit theatres on Friday, May 1. The movie is based on the 2023 series that streamed on Freevee.

Directed by Juan Pablo Arias Munoz, the movie is about a daughter who comes back to her family home as her ailing dad is dealing with a fight against a powerful enemy.

Said foe wants their family property and is willing to do just about anything to get it! Mansi, who plays Hunter Clarkman, a role she played during the series streaming run.

The actress stars in the movie along with Lou Diamond Phillips, Charley Debenedetti, John Pyper-Ferguson, Christina Moore, Madison Lawlor, Javier Bolaños, Loren Escandon, Daniel Edward Mora, Bruce Davison, and Shalim Ortiz.

In a fun twist, Lauren Swickard (wife of General Hospital’s Josh Swickard – Harrison Case) is the movie’s executive producer and was the show runner and co-creator of the Casa Grande series during its original run.

Fans may recall that Ms. Swickard also once had a role on GH, circa 2023, when she played Ferncliff nurse, Janice, while Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) was wrongfully locked up.

Big Step For Kate Mansi

Mansi entered the land of soaps in 2011, playing Abigail Deveraux on Days of Our Lives. In fact, she scored a Daytime Emmy in the Outstanding Supporting Actress category in 2017 for this role.

After her Casa Grande series work in 2023, she joined General Hospital later in the year as the Kristina Corinthos-Davis recast, replacing Lexi Ainsworth. In 2025, Mansi was nominated for a Daytime Emmy, in the Outstanding Supporting Actress category, once again; however, this time for her work as GH’s Kristina.
