The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Matt Clark’s Release Stuns – Nick Put In Jail?

The Young and The Restless: Matt Clark (Roger Howarth)

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Matt Clark (Roger Howarth) was released from jail and cannot be located. On the surface, this seems like another replay of past storylines, but is it?

The Newman family was stunned that their longtime enemy was missing. But that can be classified as an overreaction.

A well-paid lawyer would argue that Matt deserves all the rights afforded to anyone in the soapy justice system. So, he’s accused but hasn’t yet been found guilty. That’s why he was released pending an assumed trial this year.

Matt Clark Could Make A Case Against The Newmans

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) held Matt hostage and was driving him to an assumed death before the car crash. A crooked lawyer could assert that poor, innocent Mr. Clark was simply trying to save his life.

In daytime reality, the last statement is true. Matt was looking out for his own hide. There would be no courtroom mention of the dirty drug dealing he did, using The Shadow Room as a front, or how he intended to have Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) kill himself by ingesting illicit drugs.

Matt also planned to have dirty cop Annie Stewart (Catherine Kresge) kill his wife, Sienna Bacall (Tamara Braun). It seems like Matt purposely set her in Noah’s path at the pretense of luring Nick, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), and the Newman family into his trap.

After everything went down, Victor held Matt for a mock trial at the Newman Ranch. That wasn’t constitutional, as an old-school cable television or modern social media self-appointed pundit could loudly proclaim.

The Young and The Restless: Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow)

Nick Newman Is Using Bad Pills

Whatever that bag of multicolored pills were, Nick is taking them. His total demeanor change at Crimson Lights provides circumstantial evidence in that regard.

It seems like those pills are the same illicit substances Matt tried to force on Noah when he was holding him and Sienna against their will. This doesn’t bode well for Nick.

Besides damaging his body and putting himself in further danger, a renewed confrontation with Matt is surely ahead. How that plays out is the question fans are asking themselves and each other.

Sienna Bacall Back In Los Angeles For A Reason

So now the audience likely knows the reason why Sienna felt compelled to return to LA and then did so. Noah also just flew back home, leaving her there alone.

It’s easy to project Matt going to Los Angeles, California, to exact revenge against his wife or her returning to Genoa City, Wisconsin, where that climax plays out on Newman turf.

The combination of Nick not being in his right mind, with his body also being damaged, and Noah responding with emotion, rather than logic, spells danger ahead. Plus, there’s the Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) factor. The Moustache is off because his company was stolen by Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). So, he can’t fully focus on this renewed crisis.
