The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say that if there’s one thing we’ve learned about Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) over the years, it’s that you either hate him or, well, you simply hate him.
Is Ridge The Most Insufferable Character?
There’s no loving the man unless your name happens to be Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang).
In fact, some fans are calling him the most insufferable character on the show. That’s because he seems to act very entitled and likes to push people around and gaslight them when things don’t go his way.
If this all sounds too familiar, it’s because we’ve seen this same type of behavior in his daughter, Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). The apple certainly doesn’t fall far from the apple tree, right?
Of course, The Bold and the Beautiful fans have definitely weighed in on this matter and have given their two cents online.
Some have even commented with, “Ridge treating his own father like garbage and Steffy being controlling over Hope’s line were what drew the line for myself on ever rooting for them again. I started watching this show in late-2023 and initially went into it on Team Forrester. Fast forward to today and I root for Bill at every turn.”
Another critic wrote, “Ridge has always been selfish and a crap lover, but he did have a nuance to his character that has been largely absent in recent years.”
Why Is Ridge The Worst Character On B&B?
And then there was this comment as well: “The writers have made it clear that we’re supposed to root for the Forresters and against the Spencers. It honestly feels the other way around. The Forresters personally come off as the villains.”
Now, whether or not Ridge can change as a character remains to be seen, but the critics have definitely spoken. And while we love to hate the man, there’s no doubt that we love the drama he brings to the table, too.
Then again, B&B fans will simply have to tune in to find out what will happen next. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on the CBS network. Check your local listings for times.
