The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) appears to have realized his dream match. Rather than chasing women who either wouldn’t commit or weren’t the right one, he’s found someone who loves him, and that’s what was missing in the past.
Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire) chased Carter the first time around. Then, she returned to Paris, France, because he was hung up on Hope Logan (Annika Noelle), now Spencer.
While Hope’s feelings for Carter were developing, her true love was and remains the man she recently remarried, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton).
Carter’s long road to happiness has included many stops and starts. Viewers suspended their disbelief because he wasn’t a lonely bachelor. Instead, Saint-Victor’s character continued to rush into relationships that weren’t promising.
Kudos were deserved when Saint-Victor and Rena Sofer (Quinn Fuller) connected romantically. That was during the period when Eric Forrester (John McCook) tired of his longtime wife and was looking to drop her.
Eric reverted to being with his one-time love, Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis), because she was fully invested in his well-being. Quinn had a history of betrayals, including once kissing Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), Eric’s adopted and supposedly loyal son.
That storyline was used to facilitate Sofer’s cast exit. It had plenty of potential for more, but served as a farewell. She and Saint-Victor were outstanding in that tale.
Telling Daphne that he sees their children is a prediction that hopefully comes true later this year. They make a fine couple, and this story is uplifting.
There have been so many heartbreakers for Carter. Fans were left forever wondering if it was the eternal bachelor who was focused on his career.
That somewhat one-dimensional role hasn’t suited an actor like Saint-Victor, who has been on this show since 2013. Broadening his character’s forward story is right. Lengthening his backstory should become a focus as well.
As for Daphne, Hilaire is a true delight. Her alter ego is mysterious, incredibly appealing, and unique. All elements draw Carter and the audience to Daphne.
Ivy Forrester (Ashleigh Brewer) is protective of her niece. So, it’s natural that she would be looking out for Electra and her relationship with Will.
Electra’s feelings about Melissa Dylan (Sydney Bullock) aren’t actually an overreaction. Melissa accidentally killed Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada), or that’s the story she told to the authorities, and it was accepted.
Luna’s lunacy heightened Electra’s senses, which remain that way because Nozawa’s character only left the soapy earth in recent months. Electra’s warnings to Dylan, like Ivy’s threats to her, are mostly based on what happened in the last storyline that Bullock’s character was intriguingly connected to at multiple points.
