Katie Bates Breaks Silence On Travis Admitting Infidelity

When fans of Bringing Up Bates heard that Travis Clark admitted to cheating on Katie Bates, she didn’t respond immediately. However, she shared her thoughts in a series of posts on social media on Tuesday this week. Read on to find out more.
Public Confession
When Travis confessed that he cheated on Katie, he said that he felt hopeful the UPTV star could forgive him. We reported that when he publicly shared that he was “Unfaithful” to his wife, many people thought that the public domain wasn’t the place to do it.
Anyway, Katie took note of the post and told her fans in a follow-up post on Facebook, that Travis “told me that he felt it was important to take public accountability.” Then, she told her fans that she agreed with that and supports “his decision and desire for transparency.”

Other posts arrived, like the first one, with writing on a black background. The Bringing Up Bates alum also said that she appreciates the prayers that people send her. Notably, they won’t be rushing into any divorce, although she mentioned “legal counsel,” as well as presumably marriage guidance counsel.

From her standpoint, protecting the children takes top priority, so she wants things to happen “slowly,” and “carefully.” Of course, coming from a religious family, she leans on her faith and on God to help them move forward.

As for advice from followers, she told them that she wants to deal with her problematic husband, Travis privately. While she accepts that some people mean well, she can’t respond to everyone who sends her messages.
Fans React
In the comments section, a lot of people wrote their feelings about Travis Clark cheating, and the efforts they take to now rectify things. One of them penned, “Yes, God can restore your marriage but only the three of you can decide the way forward. God, Katie and Travis.”
Here are a few more responses from the discussion area:
- God can heal the wounded.
- YES!! God can restore what the world sees as broken. My own marriage went through what you are experiencing.
- I like the line about not giving advice.
- Katie continue praying through it. I am older than your mom, I am 61. I too went through the same thing.
- Faith can overcome.
- praying for your family.

Over 300 people liked the post, and most people seem to feel that while Katie Bates is obviously devastated, it hasn’t shaken her faith. Perhaps, in time the little family will make things right again.
