General Hospital Spoilers: Will Robert’s Farewell Get Baked Into Anna’s Escape From Captivity?

General Hospital spoilers report Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) makes some major moves this week to set herself free from captivity. Still largely unaware of who is behind her capture, she is worried that Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) has somehow played a role in this disaster.

Whether he is still alive remains to be seen, but regardless, she knows he was a powerful man with the means to ensure his sinister plans would always outlive him.

As she makes a desperate attempt at escape, spoilers hint that Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) could somehow factor into the current storyline, leaving the Scorpio family devastated to learn of his death.

Farewell Robert

Saying goodbye to Robert wasn’t something most viewers expected to have to endure last year. When he and Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) fled Port Charles for greener pastures, we thought it was ambitious, spontaneous, and temporary.

The next time we saw him, he was welcoming Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and his granddaughter Daisy Corinthos Gilmore (Brendan and Evelyn Beimford) to stay with him, and fans took note immediately that he appeared unwell.

Just a few weeks later, he was gone, and we were crying over both Robert and Tristan. GH always makes it a point to honor lost characters and their portrayers in some way. This week, some suspect it may be Robert’s turn.

GH Spoilers Tease the Scorpios Will Be Devastated

Previews note that the Scorpios will struggle with some kind of grief or bad news. Could it be work from Sasha that Robert has passed away? Possibly, but the previews also tease that Anna will be spotted.

Who sees her and where? Could it be that she is somehow mixed up with Robert, or even implicated in his death? Would anyone believe that? At the same time, I struggle to wrap my head around the idea that GH would write Robert off in any way less than honorable, but we never know what Tristan agreed to before his death.

Anna Might Remain Unaware

If the news of Robert’s passing is what breaks Scorpio hearts this week, then Anna might very well remain unaware that this has occurred.

At the same time, Pascal (Marc Forget) could clue her in on purpose just so Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) et al can revel in her solo grief.

But I’m expecting that Anna might remain in the dark and have to be confronted with his death once she is finally free, which I’m not sure will actually happen this week, despite her being spotted. What do you think?
