General Hospital Spoilers: Will Kai And Trina Solve the Mystery Of Drew’s Shooting — and Then Cover It Up?

General Hospital spoilers gossip Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) are bent on moving forward from Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting.

Somehow, neither of them are very traumatized by being present for the gunshots that rang out through the Congressman’s house. But a recent interview with GH’s head writers

Elizabeth Korte and CHris Van Etten left this little clue on the table: “Trina and Kai realize they are in possession of a piece of evidence that could blow Willow’s trial wide open.

Their detective work results in identifying Drew’s shooter — but what they do with this information will stun viewers.” Does this mean Willow is off the hook, and if so, is it because she’s not guilty, or is it because she is?

Lullabies and Lies

Recall that while Trina and Kai were cooped up with Drew’s most precious belongings tucked away in his safe, they heard him get shot and sat in that room wondering if they were going to happen upon a dead man when they left.

While Trina sprang into action, Kai rushed her along, noting they couldn’t be caught at the scene. It was only in hindsight when reflecting on what happened that night that they mentioned again hearing that ringtone go off playing Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star.

They assumed it was Scout calling Drew, but the trial has already exposed that the phone records showed no one called Drew that evening. So whose phone was playing that song?

GH Spoilers Squeal Willow Might Be the Shooter!

It’s entirely possible that Willow has the same ringtone for Scout in her phone. It’s also possible that Wiley or Amelia Corinthos (Viron Weaver, Sequoia and Serenity Mork Macko) were calling their mom, and that the lullaby is her ringtone for them.

But as much as parents today are keen on giving their littles cell phones from a young age, something tells me Wiley and Amelia are still too young.

Besides, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) has been keeping them far from their mother, and I’m sure that includes phone calls.

Still, it’s possible Willow shot Drew that night, and she might not even remember it if this story is going the way of Willow being mentally ill.

Might that be a reason Kai and Trina would protect her, especially since they hate Drew anyway?

It Could Be Worse!

If you’re thinking the wildest storyline possible here ends with it turning out that Willow shot Drew, whether she’s aware of it or not, think again!

It’s entirely possible that someone much more innocent could have pulled the trigger, and that leaves me thinking Emily ‘Scout’ Cain (Cosette Abinante), Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), or Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) might have retaliated against Drew for being so vicious with pretty much everyone, and especially for separating these kids from each other in the wake of Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) death.

I could see Trina and Kai agreeing to keep quiet to protect any of them. I could also see it being Danny and Rocco — and that would explain the two gunshots.

Did Scout call one of them in the midst of it and cause Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star to play before they scampered off? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers as we inch closer to the truth about who tried to kill Drew.
