Carnival Cruise Kid Falls In The Water – Mom Follows

Carnival Cruise liners are often the best fun for families who enjoy nice themes and festive activities. Well, a nightmare almost happened on a cruise in the Bahamas recently, when a child fell into the water. Well, like a mama bear, her mom jumped in to save her child. Read on for more details.
The Dockside Incident
Bad things can happen on cruise ships. For example, Anna Kepner died on board one of them and her brother is a suspect in the killing. But mostly, folks enjoy a good time without tragedy. Thousands of people pack the cruises, especially in the cooler season, because places like the Bahamas are nice and warm.
Well, for one mother, it nearly became a terrible holiday because when the Carnival Cruise ship was dockside, her four-year-old fell into the water. And, as if that’s not bad enough, she fell between the dock and the enormous vessel.

When CBS Miami reported on the story, they revealed some photos that were taken as the crew and others rushed to save both of them.
Mom Follows Child Into The sea
Without hesitation, her mom had also jumped into the sea to rescue her kid. And, that proves that a mother’s love is simply instinctively amazing. Of course, it wasn’t easy to get to them, but security and other folks managed to haul them safely up. Onlookers cheered and clapped as they were safely landed ashore.
First, the child was rescued, and then the mom followed. Actually, even though the vessel was docked, you really don’t want to be stuck between the ship and the dock. After all, swells and tides, and even wind blowing might move it around.
Thanks to swift action by the mom and the crew, tragedy was averted. Actually, both of them were checked out and they are okay.
Not Everyone Is Cheering
Folks in the comments section had something to say about it. One viewer scathingly wrote, “Clapping because mom wasn’t watching her 4 year old? Mom will be seeing a lawyer when she gets back but I doubt she’ll get a payday because it happened in the Bahamas. I hope she doesn’t. But she’ll try.”
Meanwhile, someone else suggested that the mother should have used “a wrist leash.”
Here are a few more responses from the discussion:
- I cannot believe that is not gated off. These Cruise companies are at fault for that. They both could have been crushed if the boat had a big wave pushed it against that concrete.
- Stay away from Carnival Cruises. They cater to the unruly.
- She was like not today Satan…glad they are safe.
- The most dangerous thing about Carnival…is the other passengers.
