The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Eric Forrester (John McCook) told Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) that he’s done. Katie Logan Spencer (Heather Tom) told her sister that it’s game on.

Ridge’s heartfelt attempt to help his father ease into retirement didn’t go over well. But with time to reflect and the timing of Christmas, Eric decided that his son was right, or at least believed that as December was ending.

Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) went from surprised to being outraged. She was miffed by her sister wanting to head Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) upstart fashion house. But naming it Logan set off a soapy storm.

Like Father, Like Forrester Son

Ridge is a Marone due to his genetic connection with the late Massimo Marone (Joseph Mascolo). But after the dramatic storyline reveal years ago, where Stephanie Forrester’s (Susan Flannery) unknown connection to Massimo was revealed, Ridge rejected that link.

Eric is the man Ridge considers his only father. He’s the head of the Forrester clan and Forrester Creations.

Wanting Eric to enjoy his so-called twilight years with Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis), rather than returning to FC to co-create another collection, isn’t about power. It’s an act of compassion for a man whom he loves and wants to remain alive indefinitely.

Bill Spencer Creates Unexpected Opportunities

Bill conceived of a fashion house for his renewed wife. It’s his wedding gift as part of their remarriage.

Katie will head a company she hopes to call Logan. With whatever that company name becomes, she’ll need to staff it with talent.

Seeing Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) join Katie won’t be a major surprise. Ridge and Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) agree that he has talent. But of course, they welcomed Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) back to the company, spelling Deke’s free agency.

But Eric has fresh designs in his portfolio as well. McCook’s character isn’t inclined to work for Bill. But would he want to help Katie if he and Donna engage in post-pickleball pillow talk about her sister?

If that happens, the developing conflict will expand significantly. Katie’s company can be built on more than hope; its future, with the wink implied, could also involve reestablishing major family rivalries.

Brooke Logan Forrester Reinforces Control

Brooke and Ridge raced back to FC and spoke with Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor), who got on it. The patent rights to the Logan name and brand were in question.

Meanwhile, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) was working on his keyboard at Spencer Publications. That made for good soap with the outcome furthering the renewal of the battle between these legacy families.

Ridge backs his renewed wife. Bill is doing the same. Add in the intra-family battle between Katie and Brooke, with Donna wanting to remain neutral but supporting whatever Eric decides is best, and good soap is produced.
