‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Audra and Holden’s Hidden Secret – Nate’s Out, and Claire Could Be Next
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Audra Cortes (Zuleyka Silver) was enraged that Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) shared damaging information about her with Claire Newman (Hayley Erin). As viewers know, Audra reacted without even knowing that Claire had been told Charles was an alias.
Holden’s reveal to Claire came after their romantic relationship was realized in Los Angeles, California. What followed was unexpected because he admitted to Audra committing major theft and him having received twenty percent of the money she stole from a likely underworld figure.
Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) dropped Audra months ago. He was wrecked after learning what happened with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) in France. Claire separated from Kyle shortly after he returned to town, but hasn’t written him off yet.
Breaking From Holden Novak As Well?
The implication that Claire will formalize her break from Kyle seemed clearer after she was the aggressor in LA. But Holden’s reveal gave her pause.
Returning to GC included time with Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell), who Claire adores. The bond they forged during the period in the plot when Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk) kidnapped them is part of the reason why her connection with Kyle deepened.
The time and space Claire told Kyle she needed, before jetting to LA with her self-appointed tour guide, Holden, involved a mental sort. But rather than go to a retreat, she opted to trade Kyle’s pressure for Holden’s seemingly open heart.
What she’ll eventually learn about the deeper secret he shares with Audra will likely force Claire to decide on any future she may want to pursue with Novak’s character. Kyle may look better in comparison by that time.
Kyle Abbott Is Impatiently Waiting
Devoted viewers know that Allison Lanier (Summer Newman) left the cast earlier this year. That’s a loss, as she delivered a solid performance as the most recent version of this legacy character.
It was obvious that Kyle’s cold discarding of Summer was setting up his attachment to Claire. It felt like he exchanged Lanier’s character for Erin’s because that’s what happened.
So, writing that scenario into daytime reality implies Kyle and Claire aren’t done. They could be married in the future, but probably not before the end of this year. In the meantime, Kyle must impatiently wait for Claire to work through what are now two complex romantic ties.
Audra Cortes Is Trouble No Matter What She Says
Nate looks even smarter in retrospect. He, more than anyone in GC, other than Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), gave Audra the benefit of the doubt.
What’s sad is that Nate was eliciting the better parts of Audra. Yes, she has a heart, and his presence in her life causes the veneer to begin to drop.
But some people are destined to repeat patterns. It seems like Audra is one of these dramatic personalities. She hasn’t been able to escape the past she’s created, or possibly, doesn’t want to.
