General Hospital spoilers tease Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is about to paint the perfect narrative to a court room that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) not only wasn’t the person who fired two shots at Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) in his living room, but she is every bit as much a victim of that crime as she is taking the fall for someone else.
While many are expecting Alexis to point the finger of blame at Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) for framing his ex-wife, they’re going to be surprised to hear her utter a completely different name: Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). But it won’t stop there.
As Alexis pulls at the thread that tethers Portia to Drew and gives her motive, the focus will shift from whether she pulled the trigger, or if Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) did it for her.
Portia isn’t going to take this lying down, but it’s the last kind of stressor she needed right now. She has already lied about where she was the night of Drew’s shooting, claiming she was in her office and never went home, but Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) didn’t seem to buy that excuse.
As she reports back to Alexis, the evidence is starting to mount that makes Portia look like a pretty compelling suspect. There’s just one problem: She does have an alibi — and it’s Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson).
When Alexis realizes Portia does actually have someone who can corroborate her whereabouts on the night Drew was shot, including the timeline that covers when it happened because she was called into work due to it, it’s going to leave a gaping hole in Willow’s defense.
Poking around in other people’s business might end up causing some major upset in Portia’s life, but it’s not going to go so swimmingly for Alexis either as she has to scramble to figure out how she will pivot. Some might think she will default to blaming Michael, but there is another option on the table.
Curtis also had an alibi the night of Drew’s shooting, but he could throw his story about being with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) into the wind if he thinks it will absolve his wife of any guilt.
Sure, he’s going to be furious if things go so far that he learns Portia was with another man that night, but that doesn’t mean he’ll know what they were up to — or that the baby she is carrying might be Isaiah’s and not his.
Given that the police are already reconsidering their suspects, and that Curtis is one of them, is it possible he’ll risk confessing to this crime to keep Portia out of prison if he thinks she did it? Since he thinks she’s got his baby on board, anything goes.
