The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Is Detective Burrow an Imposter Sent to Mislead Sharon & Nick?

The Young and The Restless: Detective Burrow

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that last week Matt Cohen made his debut as Detective Burrow on the Genoa City—based soap. His first appearance was brief and to the point as he talked to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) about the car crash their son Noah Newman (Lucas Adams) was in.

Now that we’ve been introduced to the new character, fans have tons of questions. Let’s break down the mystery!

Who is Detective Burrow?

Detective Burrow debuted on October 16 and told the sad parents that there was an eyewitness to Noah’s crash, and apparently someone plowed into his car before he went off the road and into a ravine. In other words, this was not an accident, it was a hit and run.

Sharon and Nick were stunned to learn the news and were already reeling after learning that Noah had swelling on the brain and was put into an induced coma.

Sharon and Nick Fear For Noah

Burrow appeared to be legit and talked in clipped tones like a cop would. However, eagle-eyed fans noticed that he offered no ID, i.e. an official badge.

Then on the Friday, October 17 episode we saw Detective Burrow call someone and relay that he told Nick and Sharon what the unidentified person wanted him to convey. Next he said he would forward Nick’s cell phone number.

Needless to say, this behavior caused the red flags to fly. Social media lit up with questions galore: is Burrow a real detective, who is he working for, what is his agenda?

I hope he’s a good guy. The show already has enough evil characters, especially with Ian Ward returning again.
