General Hospital spoilers report Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) have just upped the ante in their custody battle. Willow’s arrest has her thinking Michael has sabotaged her and set her up to take the fall for Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting.
She’s not too happy with her mother, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), whose false and unprompted alibi ended up poking holes in both their stories and leading to a double arrest.
But ultimately, the fans can see where this storyline is headed — with Willow and Nina teed up against Michael and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
This is bigger than a custody case, and it may end with Willow and Nina flipping the script and sending the other side to prison.
On the night of Drew’s shooting, Willow was a wreck after a series of events that had left her emotionally shattered and trying to piece her life back together.
She had to jump ship for a bit and get her head in order, even if it meant dipping out on her shift at work.
Returning, drenched from a downpour, she looked out of sorts to fellow staff. But it wasn’t until the police came knocking that it would matter.
Why was her physical appearance in tatters while Nina’s was perfectly kempt? That would become a rather burning question when Nina offered up an unsubstantiated alibi without thinking. Alas, that is their downfall.
Nina should have considered that there might be evidence she was not with Willow that night. Not only could cameras at her penthouse apartment have revealed she was home, but camera footage at the hospital could have revealed she wasn’t with Willow.
That lie set the stage for both of them to fail, proving that this mother and daughter duo are anything but coordinated. Does that leave them with any fighting chance of defeating the charges of murder and conspiracy stacked against them?
Unfortunately for Willow and Nina, a stronger team is up against them, and they’ve been working together for much longer. Michael and Carly will fiercely fight for and defend one another to a fault.
If it’s true that Carly planted that gun while Michael made a play on Willow’s feelings for her kids, or even that Michael pulled this off all on his own but Carly is bound to support it, then Willow and Nina are in for the fight of their lives.
The fan base isn’t all that divided on this one. We all know Carly and Michael have the resources and strategic frameworks in place to pull this off.
