General Hospital Spoilers: Carly’s Pep Talk Could Drive Britt To Come Clean With Jason — But Will She Tell Him The Whole Truth?
General Hospital spoilers leak Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is fed up with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). Yes, already. Let’s be clear. Carly was never on Team JaBritt.
But after Jason “died,” she mourned him alongside his former paramour and found a way to get past the jealousy and anxiety she felt over Jason having someone another woman in his life. Then, when Britt “died,” Carly probably never really thought about her again.
To have her come back from the grave — and back into Jason’s life — has been a major adjustment. Secretly, she’s probably okay with Britt giving Jason the cold shoulder and keeping secrets from him.
But she surprised us last week when she happened upon Britt in the steam room at the Metro Court Hotel and gave her an earful of unsolicited words of wisdom. It’s advice that Britt just might take. Is she about to come clean with Jason, and if so, what will that mean for their future potential as a couple?
A Hard Lesson Learned
Carly wasn’t kidding when she said between Jason, Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna), and herself, they were going to figure out Britt’s “dirty little secret.” The fans know better though. We can tell something is weighing heavily on Britt.
Jason may have busted her out of that hotel in Croatia, but she still seems to feel like she’s trapped in a sense — likely in this new life that is a lie.
Without a clear way out, she might feel like lying to her loved ones — like telling Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) she faked her own death for selfish reasons — is the only avenue she can take.
Likewise, keeping the truth from Jason might feel safer right now than letting him in — especially if Carly is always going to be an accessory in his life. She’s been burned by that before.
GH Spoilers Squeal Trust is Everything
Still, Britt knows Carly wasn’t wrong. If Britt just had some faith in Jason and trusted him, she might not be in the trenches alone.
Her mind keeps flashing back to that medication showing up in her room above Bobbie’s, with a note reminding her to take it, signed by “C.” While all fans collectively and instinctively thought “Cesar Faison (Anders Hove,” we truly still don’t know. What we do know is it seems like Britt may know she’s not really sick.
She may know she is forced to take these medications for some other reason. She might even know who “C” is. But will she tell Jason and risk everything for a shot at him being her savior again, even if he eventually leaves her in the dust for Carly?
Britt Knows More Than She’s Letting On
At the same time, Britt has no idea that Carly has figured out what Jack is really about. So when Carly implied she and Jason were working in some proximity to Jack to figure out what really happened to her, Britt probably received that as Carly still trusting Jack.
It’s going to look like she does, from all accounts, because she hasn’t ended that relationship.
Preferring to set him up for ruin, she’s keeping her real feelings close to the vest, and in turn, that makes it look like Carly trusts the WSB figurehead — someone Britt likely does not trust at all.
Will she weigh the pros and cons and take Carly’s sage advice anyway, choosing to have faith in Jason that he can rescue her from whatever mess she’s in? Time will tell. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see where this goes.
