True Crime Suspects Rebecca & Jake Haro Plead Not Guilty

True crime updates revealed that on Thursday this week, Rebecca and Jake Haro, the parents of missing baby Emmanuel, pleaded not guilty in court. They face charges of murder and falsifying police reports. Read on for more details.

Second Time In Court

It’s the second time that Rebecca and Jake appeared in the Riverside court after reporting that their baby was kidnapped. The first time, they had little to say, and it wasn’t clear who would be charged as the main suspect. As the baby had not been found, these things took time to reach a point where they were officially arraigned.

News Nation reported on the not guilty pleas that the parents from Yucaipa, CA entered. Previously, they reported that a source claimed Jake Haro admitted to killing his baby. However, he later told the Southern California News Group that he’s innocent that that he loves little Emmanuel. 

It shouldn’t be a big surprise that the true crime couple pleaded not guilty in court. After all, Rebecca Haro still sticks by her story that the child was kidnapped while she changed his diaper at a shopping complex. However, given Jake’s previous felony of child abuse, that resulted in a slap on the wrist, the police don’t believe them.

What Happened In Court?

When the report about the court appearance arrived on YouTube, reporter Laura Ingle said that in court, the couple sat apart. Additionally, she noted, “Our producer who was inside the courtroom says they were both expressionless. Each was in a jail jumpsuit, so observers couldn’t get any emotion.”

The rest of the interior scenario involved warning journalists not to take photos. Additionally, Laura said that “Rebecca’s defense team shifted as her previous lawyer was relieved. Attorney Jeff Moore is now handling her case, and Jake Haro will continue to be represented by the public defender’s office.”

Reactions From The Comments

Right from the first time that folks saw Rebecca Haro claimed her son was kidnapped, viewers didn’t believe her. She seemed shifty, and she reportedly stopped talking to the police when they found inconsistencies in her story prior to her arrest.

Therefore, no public opinions seem to have changed. In the comments, one person wrote, “How could Rebecca have a baby with a guy that did that to his 10 week old daughter??? Then let it happen to her son???? Sick.”
