The true crime case from Yucaipa, CA, which involved a kidnapped seven-month-old baby, Emmanuel Haro, has resulted in the arrest of his mom, Rebecca Haro, and his dad, Jake. A new update reveals that they will be charged for the murder of their child.
A breaking news report by News Nation on Friday night revealed that “Police thought something didn’t add up. And now the parents of a missing 7-month-old baby are under arrest facing charges of murder.”
Those people who followed the case on social media feared the death of the little boy, and sadly, it looks like their couch-sleuth fears were correct. Currently, the body of the baby has not been recovered, but police are still searching.
According to a source, “police believe the father killed the baby and they say it happened inside the home.” Sources also suggested that a “substantial amount of blood was found on the carpet inside the home.”
In our update on August 20, it was noted that the husband of Rebecca Haro, Jake, already had a previous felony conviction for child cruelty. At the time, though, his lawyer argued that it wasn’t related to Emmanuel.
The new update revealed a bit more about that, and the reporter said, “He was convicted of child cruelty, a felony over serious injuries to a 10-week-old baby girl back in 2018.” In the case of that child, she “was hurt so badly she can no longer see, talk, or walk to this day.”
The original report arrived when Rebecca Haro claimed that the family attended a game, but she needed to buy her son a mouth guard. She said she went to a shopping complex where she was allegedly hit on the head from behind, and when she woke up, the baby was gone.
However, after finding inconsistencies in her story, a special investigation division was called in by the San Bernardino County Sheriff. Because of that, phones and devices were seized, and their vehicle was thoroughly checked.
In the comments section, the progress in the true crime case was greeted with a lot of sadness. The general temperature of emotions also leaned toward anger that despite a prior conviction, the couple still had children living at home.
One commenter wrote, “Justice for baby Emmanuel. He suffered 7 months of hell. Change laws.”
