General Hospital Josh Kelly Admits Jealousy Over Outback’s Affections

General Hospital star Josh Kelly (Cody Bell) adores Outback, but he admits that he sometimes feels a bit jealous of the dog’s handler. The sweet beagle pup, found by Emma Scorpio Drake (Braedyn Bruner), ended up living with him in the ABC daytime drama.

Outback Moved In With Josh

Spoilers about GH revealed that folks suspected the beagle originated from Henry Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) lab. Emma quickly fell in love with the pup that she found in the park during a baseball game. Actually, she hoped that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) would train it to be a K9 dog.

However, because of issues with a “no-pet’s policy” where Emma lives, Outback was taken in by Josh Kelly’s fictional character, Cody.

One thing about animals on popular daytime dramas: people learn about them. And, beagles turn out to be fiercely loyal to their owners. Now, it turns out that’s a bit of a problem for Josh. Read on to find out why.

Jealous Of Affections

Recently, Josh Kelly gave an interview with Soap Opera Digest, and he spoke about Outback a lot. He told the outlet that the thieving pup “is adorable.” However, the person who handles the dog during filming definitely gets all the love. He explained that it’s probably because the handler has “treats.”

While Josh enjoys acting with an animal, it does challenge him because it’s different from acting with other humans. But it’s obvious that a bit of jealousy creeps in.

Kelly told the outlet:

When it’s an adorable dog like she is, you want it to like you…You know when you’re at a party and a dog kind of likes you, but it really likes your friends and you get kinda jealous? It feels like that. You’re like, ‘Well, why doesn’t she want to look at me?”

Eventually, he admitted, “It did make me a little jealous.” However, the dog and the actor didn’t really have much time to bond. So, he added, “I wish I could have worked with the dog more off camera.”

Although at the time of writing this, the post about the General Hospital pup has been up for 12 hours, no comments arrived yet. However, it’s very likely that soon ABC viewers will find it and express their opinions on the Instagram post about it.

After all, it seems that everybody loves beagles, and Josh is popular on the daytime drama.
