General Hospital Spoilers: Stone Cold Died With Monica–Death Triggered Jason’s Q. DNA Takeover
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is evolving into Jason Morgan Quartermaine. Can we kiss Stone Cold goodbye after Monica Quarermaine’s (Leslie Charlespn) emotional funeral?
Let’s face it, Jason’s evolution began the moment he and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) agreed they wanted out of mobbing. And since then the clues have been in full view that Jason’s Q DNA is taking over.
Jason Morgan Reverting to Form
Jason embraced fatherhood of Danny Morgan after Sam McCall died. There have been many heartfelt convos between these two that show that Jason puts his kid’s life above his own. He’s also been emotionally walloped by Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) nasty rejection.
Significantly, he and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) leaned on each other the moment Monica passed. Jason stepped up immediately and in the church he was the one who acted as host.
With Drew being written as such a cartoon villain, Jason’s renovation makes more sense than ever.
What’s Happening to Jason?
Someone has to tackle the Drew problem and Tracy is ready but could use backup. Many fans would love to see Jason channel his ferocity into fighting for his family instead of for the Sonny and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wirght) circus.
In fact, after Snarly finds out he knew about Joss Jacks (Eden McCoy) being in the WSB she will turn on him.
Does the death of his mother change Jason or will he remain Stone Cold? Tracy telling him (with a great flashback) how Monica embraced him as her own son the night he was sick had a big effect on him and seemed like a full circle moment for him.
There are several times Jason has stepped up for the Q’s so we see his transition as a slow and gradual process that has been sparked by recent events (the power of coming back from the dead cannot Ibe underestimated).
For example, Jason bonded with Emily and was the one who brought her back home after running away.
What Happens Next in Port Charles?
How do you want Jason to evolve now that he’s shown flickers of longing for a stable, non-violent life? Should he stay at the Q mansion and become the patriarch or are you of the mind that he’s burned all those bridges down?

I believe Jason will be Jason and continue his connection to the Corinthos clan and also watch out for the Q’s. Not saying he will quit being Sonny’s right hand man, but he will probably juggle the two situations providing whatever is needed for both. Sonny will probably have to hire a hit man if he continues in the “business” but Sonny/Jason both have stated their desire to get out of the “business”. Neither would leave the “business” while Sidwell is still on the scene, so it may be a time frame before either Sonny or Jason is truly finished with the “business”.
I know this sounds selfish but I want Stone Cold to remain, he can be there for both the Qs, Sonny and Carly. Again, this sounds weird but I like Sonny and Jason as what their characters are. GH will not be the same if they get out of the business.
Jason is just fine like he is. It’s nice to see him show his emotions and loyalty to family, but he doesn’t need to change any more. I love my Stone Cold!
