True Crime: Yucaipa Baby Emmanuel Haro Parents In Court

True Crime Murder Suspect Rebecca Haro In Court - CBS News - YouTube

The parents of true crime Yucaipa, CA baby Emmanuel Haro appeared in court on Tuesday, August 26 for the first time since they were arrested. The couple, Rebecca and Jake Haro were in court to face formal charges of murder, although the seven-month-old’s body has not yet been recovered. Read on for more details.

The Court Appearance

The couple had very little to say in court, with Jake just saying, “yes, your honor.” Presumably, that clip from KCAL News on YouTube refers to him being asked if he understood the charges. Ryan Cosgrove, Public Defender, explained that the court appearance was a standard arraignment for the procedures.

Apart from murder, Emmanuel Haro’s parents also face charges of “filing a false police report.” In the meantime, it seems that there might be some delays. The defense needs to decide which of the accused needs representation. As the investigation is ongoing, it’s not clear who will be the prime suspect in the alleged murder.

The court hearing will continue on September 4, and for now, Jake and Rebecca have had bail set at $1 million each.

The Timeline

The baby was reported as missing by Rebecca in mid-August. At the time she claimed that she went to a shopping complex. While there, she changed the baby’s diaper. However, someone attacked her from behind, and when she came around, Emmanuel was gone.

Updates revealed that after police found inconsistencies in her story, she stopped talking to officers. At the same time, some disturbing news arrived about Jake: he has a true crime federal conviction for the abuse of his other child. She is so hurt that to this day she can’t walk or talk.

More news involved the fact that there is a history of crime in Rebecca’s family. Her brother, James Beushausen, was convicted in 2017 of murdering his girlfriend, Jaylynn Keith, and attempting to conceal the crime.

Additionally, family members allege that none of them had seen Emmanuel for about a month prior to the disappearance. Certainly, the case certainly isn’t looking all that good for the parents.

Reactions to the Court Appearance

On YouTube, people who follow the true crime case had more to say about the bail and arraignment. One of them wrote, “Jake seem like he too stupid to realize whats coming to him. Them inmates gon turn you inside out!!!”

Here are more comments that reveal, as far as the public are concerned, there is no doubting that they killed their son:

  • Who would’ve ever expected that a man charged with multiple attacks on children could possibly have done it again.
  • May this baby rest in peace being away from these two losers.
  • The justice system failed……this could have been prevented. He beat his daughter so bad she is brain dead. They only gave him 6 months in jail !!!
  • Both of them need to rot. That poor baby never stood a chance with those monsters.
