A Split Happened?
The concerns are strong because, like Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist, the couple didn’t move in together. Of course, things went south for them when Gerry announced his quickie divorce.
Moving on, it’s easy to see why Bachelor Nation fans might wonder if the same fate will befall Joan and Chock, especially since she’s been on trips with friends without her man. Meanwhile, Chock went off with his son doing his own thing without the love of his life.
But, on Instagram this weekend, Joan and Chuck assured their fans that they didn’t break up.
Taking It Slowly & A Reassurance
From the beginning, fans knew that the Golden Bachelorette wasn’t going to rush down the aisle. They decided to take things slowly, which might be best. While they do travel separately, they also travel together and make sure they see each other often.
In the reel about split rumors, they said that they felt compelled to appear together in a reel because they hadn’t been together for “a month.” Joan pointed out that she went off with her “friend, Nancy.” Meanwhile, Chock spent time with “his son.”
They noticed that their fans “were concerned,” and they appreciated it. However, they are very definitely still a couple. Joan said that they want to make sure that people know that.
They had nice vacations, but now they are together again. And they are very happy to be back together right now. Chock sweetly said that he loved her and kissed her on the head. In an aside, they also didn’t run off and get quietly married. Joan said they wouldn’t do that to their supporters.

Relieved fans seemed to like that Joan and Chuck can be apart and still make their relationship work. One of them commented, “The beauty of mature adult relationships. You enjoy your individuality and your relationship.”

However, not everyone was so easily convinced. A skeptic wrote, “I like Joan and Chuck both but I am not convinced about the intensity of their relationship. Their smiles seem a little wan and forced. Perhaps they’re fatigued. I hope the best for them.”
