Sami Brady Returns

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Alison Sweeney will reprise her infamous Sami Brady role during the Monday, August 4 episode, as she shares some emotional scenes with Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall).

Unfortunately, Sami could not make it back for John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) funeral due to Sydney DiMera’s (last played by Evelyn Stephenson) surgery, so fans should expect some heartfelt moments between Marlena and her daughter.

Goodbye, Al Calderon, But Not Goodbye Javi Hernandez!

News broke this week that Al Calderon will be exiting the role of Javi Hernandez, but because DOOL films months ahead of broadcast, fans won’t see this change until May 2026.

Reports indicate the Peacock soap plans to recast the role of Javi, as Calderon has joined the NBC primetime drama, Brilliant Minds, for Season 2.

DiMera Mansion Drama

As per the Days of Our Lives preview for the week of August 4-8, fans will see more of Tony DiMera, played by Thaao Penghlis, and his wife, Anna DiMera, played by Leann Hunley.

In related news, Stacy Haiduk will play double duty for a little bit longer, as Susan Banks also appears more in storylines next week.

Meanwhile, Karole Foreman has been cast in the role of Judge Dadney, the judge presiding in Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) trial. Fans will see more of the case unfold, and therefore, see more of Dadney.

Finally, the last fans saw Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) and Cat Greene (AnnaLynn McCord), they were stuck in an elevator together during the Friday, August 1 episode.

DOOL spoilers reveal that Dave will have scenes with the pseudo couple next week, and Adam Chambers is playing this character.
