A Crushing Loss

On Tuesday, the heartbreaking news arrived via Amanda’s Instagram. Her photo in the post showed her smiling and holding a bag of sweet treats while wearing a pink shirt. Behind her, her cousin Katie wore a blue shirt and sunglasses.

Unfortunately, Katie passed away and Amanda Halterman, the sister of Tammy, Amy, Misty, and Chris Combs, seems utterly crushed by the news. In her caption, she asked her followers to hold the family in their prayers.

The rest of her caption read:

It [is] with a completely crushed heart and spirit that I have to post this. My little cousin went to sit at the feet of Jesus yesterday. She was a force to be reckoned with and showed love that was accepting and given freely. She was the life of the part[y] and my best friend.

Amanda Halterman also added, “I know both our grandparents and friends was there to welcome you home. Please pray for my aunt uncle and cousins but mostly for the babies and for Natalie to be strong.”

As she used the hashtag #cancersucks, TLC fans know that the feared disease took away her bestie.

As the day before the sad news arrived, Amanda had asked for prayers, the passing of Katie wasn’t completely unexpected. Still, fans reached out in support of the TLC star.
