Three-year-old Trigg Kiser, the son of TikTok influencer Emilie Kiser, passed away earlier this month. Now, his mom has filed a lawsuit over privacy concerns. The family’s distress over the high public interest while they grieve sparked the move.

The Lawsuit

NBC News cited Jason Berry, director of communications for Maricopa County. He said, “When Maricopa County learned the family was pursuing a court order to prevent the release of these records, the Office of the Medical Examiner worked with the family to place a seal on the record.” 

Ever since Trigg Kiser passed away, there’s been a lot of chatter on social media and elsewhere about the circumstances of his death in Arizona. The lawsuit noted that, “More than 100 public records requests have been filed with the city of Chandler and Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office since Trigg’s death.”  

The Death Was In Arizona

Trigg Kiser’s passing was the result of a tragic accident involving a swimming pool. The young boy was found in a pool in Chandler Heights, Arizona, and was immediately rushed to Phoenix Children’s Hospital. Despite urgent medical attention, he’d suffered severe injuries. Sadly, the little boy passed away. 

Authorities confirmed that an investigation into the incident is ongoing. However, no more public announcements or any details of the cause of death will be made public. Many of Emilie Kiser’s fans on TikTok and Instagram agree that it’s brutal to want more information. After all, a son with a tiny baby brother died in tragic circumstances.

A Last Farewell To The Sweet Boy

Trigg appeared in some of Emilie’s posts and reels, and he was loved by thousands of people. After he died, she shared a last video of her son, but for once, kept the comments locked.

Neither of Triggs’ parents went public about the death itself, and it should be good enough for anyone to know that it was an accident that devastated the family, many fans agree.

Pool Safety Discussion

When the news about the lawsuit arrived on Reddit, over a thousand people joined the conversation. Lots of them talked about pool safety, and one person noted that other influencers will try and use the death of a boy to try to make a few bucks off promoting pool safety.

One of them wrote, “I think the main issue is that she’s a public figure…It’s illegal to not have a barrier around a pool, spa or hot tub in AZ. I hope she’s allowed to grieve. I know the guilt is unavoidable too.”

Another member of the community opined, “I think it’s because crazies are wanting to see and circulate graphic footage of the accident (security camera, 911 call, body cam, autopsy report) nobody needs to see that or use it to profit from views. She is trying to keep those things sealed from public view, as she should.”
